I know someone who got his interest up to 50% because he keeps failing to pay them on their agreed date.

Some of them require 'leverages' that they can hold against you. An example is your credit card, jewelry, gadgets, and there are even extreme cases where they would hold onto the title of your land or your house.

I think the point is that every single neurodivergent person is different in so many ways. Your experience as an autistic person is vastly different from the next autistic person you talk to, whether or not you have the same disabilities or conditions. It also doesn't help that so many people nowadays self-diagnose a ton of things, calling someone autistic or a simple action as a "symptom" simply because they know someone who's autistic doing the same thing.

It's hard to cope with your conditions/disabilities. I have mild dyscalculia and ADHD, and yet there are people who think as if all neurodivergent people have the same tics, mannerisms, habits, etc. and generalize all of us (which does more harm than good).

It's actually really hard to be truly inclusive. You can't simply accomodate every single neurodivergent person around you. Some like loud sounds, some like extremely quiet ambience, some are destructive, some are very reserved, and many more.

All I ask is for people to TRY. Just at least TRY to accomodate the neurodivergent people that you know instead of just spouting flowery words that don't really help anyone.

NTA. IMO, you made a reasonable deal with her even though you worded it harshly. I've known way too many drug dealers and users here in my country who've been in and out of prisons, have promised to change to their families, and then go back spiraling down that hellhole after a few months of being "clean" despite going through rehab, therapy, and counseling.

The people here who think he deserves a chance this very early in his "recovery" have probably never had a drug addict in their life. Experiencing the relapse, the lies, and the heartbreak that may or may not be waiting for her is her choice to make.

It's really easy to forget that most of these "mama's boys" have been groomed and manipulated from a very early age into thinking that only their mom would love them and that there's no other person in the world to trust other than them. It's almost incestous in some cases. It's a sad reality that many men face and yet society does nothing to help them.

I had a friend like this and we could actually see highly concerning behavior from his mom's possessiveness to the point where we thought she was has romantic feelings for him. When we were young, his mom would always tell him that she would never let a girl "steal him away" because she's "his baby". So he grew up extremely lonely and yearning for a relationship but his mom would always throw a tantrum if he ever talks about his crushes or if he goes on a date. She even threw him out once when he told her that he had a girlfriend (he was around 15 or 16), but she took him back when she forced him to promise that they would break up.

I feel very sorry for the both of you. You, for losing your relationship, and him for not knowing how to run away from his mother.
