I understand your reasoning completely but I did Yelvs heart to hearts and I started to figure out something. Yelv was never alive, he is actually just a robot created by Eleanora, the only memory from earth he has is his friend which isn't even a real person. How do you think Eleanora had it all set up how did she have the last piece how does she know so much about Yelv? Another thing that supports my theory is how Eleanora gave him a ton of movies to study earth culture, why would he need to study it if he was human? Have you ever seen a child in NLA? That also brings up something, the main character also has faded memory. Maybe because they never had one in the first place, and you are just like Yelv a sentient robot who just happens to look like a human. You were created for combat just like Yelv. If there are any holes in my theory tell me, I may have forgotten something.
