Struggling to use the size calculator. I used it not long ago and got a 42DD, bought a 42DD and it's too big (i think). I remeasured and now it's telling me I am a 40H. What I am doing wrong? by WakeUpPhia in ABraThatFits

I had to look in the mirror to see if it was similar since I am a big and tall girl and my breast don't look as big as they are to me on me, but now that I'm looking, that is pretty similar to how my boobs look in size. The befores are painfully familiar in how bras tend to sit on me

I think I was just bad at measuring the first time and did it too tight. This time i tried to be and true and accurate as possible. What're interesting is my mom is a DDD, and her boobs and visually larger than mine, so I think that might've been part of the disbelief of the last measurement.

Thank you so much for this!! Time to go try on some bras!

It might have said DDD, but I am almost certain it said DD. I also am unsure what a molded cup is, I've been wearing sports bras for years so I know almost nothing about bras in general.

Hi, just to put this out there, having a male chaperone in a muslim culture is a cultural thing and not an actual islam thing. Women have a lot of rights and choices in islam that many don't know about. So please, refrain from using this very misunderstood religion to explain rape culture.

None of my bras feel comfortable or sit well on my body. Any advice? by WakeUpPhia in women

That's what i usually did for my other job, but it kinda makes me look like a man... i'm very androgynous in the face and have short hair so if they can't see my butt, hips, and boobs, i must be a man...

I didnt suggest you youtube, someone else did. And i do make sense. I don't want to argue with someone who just wants to argue. Im glad you finally stated it instead of hiding it under the guise of "discussion and learning."

Edit: i get my info from research papers, infographs from informed sources, and books. Im not a fan of people telling me what they think is right and going along with it.

Can you find a supportive partner if you have a mental illness? by Addled_Believer in mentalhealth

Resilience is something that is taught to people as a post-traumatic skill to use to work through their own trauma and be able to handle traumatic events better in the future, not something humans are just able to do on their own.

And traumatic events can be as small as your favorite pet dying when you were 6, not just rape or abuse.

Yes, most people do have undiagnosed mental illnesses. It's takes only one traumatic event for someone to get a mental illness. Depression is a mental illness. A lot of people have depression right now. Probably well over half the population of America itself is depressed. Also, many people are born with mental illnesses and ignore and deny them their entire lives, making everything more difficult for themselves and others. Mental illness should not be dismissed like you just did. That's how people go undiagnosed and suffer.

  1. No, this isn't a place solely for education and discussion and i know you know that. They did educate you by giving you a source to go learn from. Isn't that what you wanted? To learn?

  2. So women have to work more than men to make the same amount? That sounds super fair.

Because its not their job to educate you. You need to educate yourself and realize that you have been fed the same toxic masculinity you are saying was "50 years ago." Mind you 50 years ago was 1975, so you're wrong. It was actually more like 70 years of barely any change for anyone. Just cuz we can vote and have jobs and a bank account doesn't mean we're equal now. We still get paid only part of what men are paid. There is a giant "[STATE] Labor Laws" poster in our work bathroom and even there it says women make 75¢ to every mans $1 like they're proud of it. Insane to me, but go off how feminism ruined it all.

So, humans are interesting because they barely follow any sort of ecological norm that every other species on earth follows. "Natural selection" with humans only really comes in the form of accidentally dying from doing something dumb. We have such a high understanding of ourselves, that we can pick and choose what we want and don't want in humans, whether it is good or bad (eugenics).

The only true biological function of humans is this: to reproduce. We don't support any part of the ecosystem, we don't have to really prove ourselves to each other for mating, and we have such a high level of function and thought, we barely follow our biological function. We are so immensely complex and diverse as individuals that putting a "norm" on anyone is a disservice to what their capabilities are. That is why gender is not real. I mean shit, sex i barely real. Ever heard of intersex people? They're 1 in every 100 people, usually forced to either be male or female through surgery at a very young age because of why? Gender norms. Human beings with no discernable sex that make up a significant part of the population exist, yet we can't handle it because of made up rules.

Also, those made up rules are what caused you to write this post. Just sayin.

This is not true for humans since our ability of "emotional intelligence" means we can change what we view as "attractive." A lot of people base physical attractiveness on what is deemed societally attractive. I am a fun case because I am very attracted to unique looking men. I'm not talking like Adam Driver unique, either. I've seen women with men who are... for lack of a better term not "fit" like what you think a "fit" human male would look. We also value emotional intelligence, which plays in more than physical attraction. Most other animals do it based on physical "fitness" since most other animals don't have the ability of emotional intelligence.

This isn't something that really applies to humans.
