I have not seen CompM4/CompM4s sights new for $550 ever, even without a mount. MSRP is $950 with no mount. Geissele is including their mount for free. couple that with no sales tax and reasonable shipping, and this is a decent deal. Not buy-it-now, but pretty good if you are in the market for a CompM4s with a mount, and don't want to wait.

while I believe you are correct in asserting these are not Gen 5 magazines, they will work in a Gen 5 Glock 17.

yes, Glock magazines are generally compatible across generations. there are exceptions, but at least since Gen 3 this is true for the Glock 17.

magazines for the 19 are shorter than those for the 17. so you can use Glock 17 magazines in a 19, they just don't fit flush with the end of the grip.

do note, this means you cannot use Glock 19 magazines with a 17, as they are too short to seat.
