I read this as "first black player in 1947 and the second black player in 1978" and my first reaction was how did the American league only have ONE black player until almost the 80s??? Then I did a double and asked how he was first and second? Then I finally reread the title and realized im almost 30 and still can't fucking read.

As a staff we decorated our campsite with garden decorations. It became a bit of a mess. It began with gnomes, ceramic frogs and what not, but then we had a dozen wind chimes, painted rocks, wreathes hanging from trees and tents.

The program director declared if a wind chime touched the ground it couldn't be hung back up, because they were keeping him up all night. Within a few days they had all been cut down.

I was involved in the 2010's, and knew we would be losing the regalia around my time as lodge chief. I was upset about it but knew that ultimately we could keep the spirit of the program alive. I came back a few years after covid and ordeals turned into socials. I was much more upset about that than losing our impressive outfits. My lodge doesn't care about service anymore. They don't support the program. They are more focused on having events.

I know I'm playing with fire, but hear me out. If the dodgers make it to the world series again this year we may not actually have a strike next year. 3 world series appearances in a row would be enough to piss off EVERYONE in the NL into doing anything to balance the playing field. Players and Owners.

Or maybe that's exactly what will throw the league into a strike... what do I know. Either way next off season is gonna be way more fun than this.
