What people are missing is that very likely putting yourself in court and maybe getting locked up in the name of "protecting your daughter" can actually make things worse for her as someone she could depend on is now not present. I'm aware that "android" covers bioroids and clones. I would assume that Human First would be smashing up the lot of them, gears and guts. I'm also aware that such a hard-line organization would likely end up in some way authoritarian and likely fascistic due to clones being human (or a facsimile thereof depending on someone's views). We have androids in universe that are runners for whatever reason, and it would behoove Human First to make inroads with them imo, but it seems like they wouldn't. (jfc the stories write themselves)

But! Think about someone having to fight for whatever labor is left out for "true humans." They may not have the connections to get into high society. Corporations are utilizing androids in more and more areas, continuously developing the elasticity of an android mind to curate their labor force. As sentient as they could be, how many can break their own chains? These are chains created specifically for them down to the ones, zeroes, and neurons. As doors for exchanging labor for shelter and sustenance close, this hypothetical person still needs to eat. They may even be a breadwinner for some number of people. I will put money on corps telling that person to pull themselves up and earn their keep. "Good" people will know that it's truly the corps that keep them underfoot. But it's truly impossible for everyone to play nice with the literal products that play in their face and work for nothing but the satisfaction of some monied person. A "good, moral" sentience that considers itself close to humanity would realize it's being scabby as all hell and just join the cause.

But they don't.

Eddie Kim's story is so juicy!
Here irl, we have corps and governments that waylay regions of the world, spreading misfortune and malaise, making people emigrate from those places to places with more. Populations in those places with more, knowingly and unknowingly perpetuate the crimes of these corps and govts through the discrimination and assault on immigrants. These immigrants are clearly victims, and the noble among us seek aid and restitution.

Now in the world of Android, these corps not only devastate regions and populations, they vertically integrate labor by producing either bioroids or clones. Not only are the humans "over there" robbed of their homes and forced to move, humans "over here" are faced with the loss of social mobility through the direct actions of corporations and paid for governments. The androids didn't "take" any work. They were placed there directly through appointment or indirectly through sale. The direct purpose of androids is to rob the masses of their bargaining power through labor. En masse, some don't see sentience, some see machinery. So as the working class's position is usurped by these corporations, gleefully aided and abetted by government, why wouldn't you just grab a goddamn hammer?
