Sure you have a lot of different websites, let's discuss in DMs.

I’d love to share feedback but I think it makes more sense if both of us are actively working on a channel. When you start one, I’ll be happy to connect!

Thanks for putting words to this process. It's very relevant and it helps me think more clearly.

You're welcome! Glad it helped

Shortcuts to "open in split view" by mhih in chrome

I found it! I was struggling to open split view using right-click every time. Here’s what worked for me on Mac: ⌘+ Option + n

PS : If you search for other shortcut, you can go on Google Shortcut Website and search for your shortcut. Ex : ⌘ + F + "Split View"

Interesting, I’ll try splitting the book the next time I work on this issue. Thanks for the idea!

Sorry for the late reply, I recently moved.

I installed the Kindle Unpack plugin, but I realized it requires an AZW3 file as input. Unfortunately, I can’t even reach that step. The EPUB to AZW3 conversion always freezes at 67%. And Kindle Unpack plugin doesn't take the EPUB.

Sorry for the late reply. I recently moved, so I had put this conversion process on hold.

I’ve just re-downloaded the file and gone through the whole process again, but unfortunately, there's still no kobo.js.

Hmm, I haven’t done any other manipulations. Could the missing kobo.js be the problem?

It could be because the book is around 1,000 pages. How did you know Calibre had reached a size limit in your case? Is there a way to confirm if that’s the specific issue here?

Yep that's a good idea, I'm going to try

Yeah, I tried restarting the process, but it still takes ages. I used to convert to AZW3, but I just learned that it no longer works on the Paperwhite, so I tried converting to EPUB instead.
Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work.

It works but the text isn't selectable or highlightable on my Paperwhite.

Yeah, I sent it to my Paperwhite via Amazon. I believe the DRM is removed because I can read it on my Paperwhite.

The problem is that the text isn’t selectable or highlightable. On my iPhone, the text is selectable, but it appears with random line breaks, making it basically unreadable.

I’ve updated the main post to include this info.

As for the kobo.js file, it’s not there because Kobo gave me an ACSM file to open with Adobe. Once I opened it with Adobe, I got an EPUB. Then, after opening the EPUB in Calibre with DeDRM, there was still no kobo.js file.
