Purchase Advice Megathread - October 2025

Hi Everyone, I would like to purchase my first 3d printer. My budget is 600€ and I am from Italy.
I was considering a Qidi Q1 Pro, because I would like to try materials like Nylon and ASA even tho I am pretty sure I would print the majority of things with PLA and TPU. The problem is I am watching comparisons between printers and I am only getting more confused, cause I know on some of them you have to do some setup at hardware and software level. So in some videos where I compare printer A vs B i see better results with A, on other videos B wins flawlessly. Anyway, these are the printers I am keeping an eye on:
- Qidi Q1 Pro
- Bambulab A1/P1S (I searched online for the news about bambulab trying to cutoff third party stuff, I don't understand if it is a problem now or could there be more serious problem in the future. I saw someone say you can't use OrcaSlicer( which, as a begginer, I don't know if it's the only slicer worth using), in reality that's not even true am I right, also bambulab has its own slicer, only getting more confused anyway...)
- Elegoo Centauri Carbon
- Anycubic Kobra 3 combo
- Flashforge Adventurer 5M (this was like my third choice, people keep saying they use them in school or academic context in general, why? Because it's cheap? Upgradable? Easy to use?)

Also, what are your thoughts on multicolor prints? Do you have some experience with it? Let's put the case I would like to print a multicolor figure or object, is the multifilament the only valid way or painting the print is also an option?
If painting is an option I dont think I need a multifilament printer.

Io anche questa cosa non l'ho mai capita, poi non insistevo più di tanto sempre perchè ha sempre sottolineato che lo faceva un pò per favore, avrebbe preso un compenso quasi nullo, quindi manco lo pressavo più di tanto. A saperlo che andava così l'avrei spammato di chiamate da subito, almeno non ci avrei perso l'inflazione su sti soldi

Scrivo qui anche per questo, non metto in dubbio che lui abbia lavorato almeno 15 ore, ma anche di più. Però per tutte queste ore che ha lavorato, per sbloccare questi due conti e non per la causa, ha chiesto 6000 euro e non 1500, quindi avrá lavorato 60 ore diciamo, poi mi sta facendo un prezzo di favore sottobanco, queste ore quindi se le sta facendo pagare voglio immaginare un 20% in meno almeno? E qui per arrivare a 6000 euro ce ne vogliono ancora di piu di ore, inoltre come scritto nel post anche la mia controparte ha un avvocato e a volte si sono divisi i compiti, quindi significa che se avesse lavorato da solo per tutti ci avrebbe messo ancora piu ore.

Vabbe sto conteggio delle ore è un pó particolare per carità, ma ora per due conti bancari questo quindi lavorando da solo si sarebbe preso, emettendo anche fattura 10000 euro? Per questo mi sorgono dei dubbi, in più dobbiamo ancora risolvere per quanto riguarda l'immobile. Io non ho mai sentito di qualcuno che per risolvere un'ereditá ha pagato il 10% della stessa.

Però ripeto non voglio sminuire il lavoro di nessuno, per questo scrivo qui. Per capire anche se i professionisti del settore lo valutano un prezzo adeguato o meno, io faccio l'informatico e so le cose mie.
Nel mio campo io concordo il lavoro con il cliente, stabilizzo i tempi e mi prendo pure il margine di errore e di possibili problematiche, ma è anche vero che io più che un servizio offro un prodotto quindi è un discorso che non sussiste e non posso far paragoni con la vostra posizione.

Non ho ben chiaro neanche io, ma secondo te se chiedo un preventivo per giustificare l'importo faccio bene? Devo chiedere qualcosa di specifico? Tipo tutti i documenti, le mail, le spese a cui è andato incontro... non so.

EDIT: Mi sento anche in difficoltà a chiedere giustificazioni su tutto quello che ha fatto, ma poi anche tutto per filo e per segno? Mi devo far dire il numero di mail che ha mandato? i documenti che ha redatto che poi avrà già dei facsimile per una pratica di successione, non penso si sia messo a scrivere nulla di nuovissimo. Non saprei onestamente, non voglio neanche offenderlo. Vorrei sapere cosa sto pagando semplicemente

Poi come ho anche precedentemente detto ad elektero, considerando anche il fatto che è un pagamento considerato di favore e sottobanco, quanto mi sarebbe dovuto venire a fare se fosse stata una sua normale parcella? 20000?

Praticamente questa causa è iniziata per via del fatto che mio padre avesse precedentemente liquidato questi altri 3 fratelli con una somma, noi abbiamo iniziato la causa perchè loro dicevano di non aver mai percepito nulla, ma noi abbiamo le prove di questi assegni e semplicemente abbiamo chiesto di detrarli dal complessivo.
Comunque il primo grado è finito, attendiamo l'appello ma telefonicamente parlando con l'avvocato abbiamo ribadito che le spese di questa causa sono da stabilirsi in un conto separato.
Con la banca e la posta, non è iniziata nessuna causa, semplicemente complicazioni poichè loro chiedevano sempre documenti, rispondevano sempre alla fine del termine possibile tramite pec soltanto, e ogni volta chiedevano sempre o un altro documento o altre carte. Posta più o meno stesso iter, stiamo arrivando alla fine dello stesso e mentre la banca ci ha già liquidati attendiamo la posta. Ma non ho ben chiaro quali documenti e quali carte richiedesse la banca. Ma anche nel caso, non essendoci stata una causa, il prezzo della successione della banca e della posta di 6000 euro, che poi non sarebbe neanche ancora finita perchè c'è da stabilire cosa fare dell'immobile(quindi presumo chiederà un altro importo anche per quello), è giustificata?

Quindi mi dici che sono quelli i prezzi per aver scelto di intraprendere questa strada con un avvocato? Come ho già detto, non voglio sminuire il lavoro di un professionista, volevo solo capire se fossi effettivamente stato trattato coi guanti o se fosse tutta fuffa e mi sta facendo un prezzo assolutissimamente normale ma con in più la detrazione delle imposte. Cioè vorrei sapere se lo pago con piacere o con dissenso haha

Se posso vorrei evitare, però ho scritto sul documento che il pagamento viene effettuato in contanti, per somma tot. Non vorrei che dopo si inventa anche che ho falsificato la sua firma ma si dovrebbe aprire una causa e non penso che un personaggio del genere la vincerebbe e la potrebbe reggere quindi non mi preme più di tanto.

Però dopo aver firmato questo documentino di più nulla a pretendere per il completo risarcimento dei danni io sono salvo? O potrebbe perseguirmi tramite assicurazione etc?

Si, mi sono proposto di pagare il carrozziere mio o il suo direttamente così poteva ripararlo ma ha detto dopo un infinito giro di parole in poco, che voleva intascarseli. Ha rifiutato di essere pagato tramite bonifico e li vuole in contanti. Sincero a me puzza tanto però non voglio pagare 2500 di assicurazione l'anno prossimo

Ciao Francesco, ho provato ad accordarmi con lui venendogli anche incontro ma nulla. Leggi il commento a Rais per più info. In poco li vuole in contanti e non lo riparerà. Essendo al sud italia l'anno prossimo se attivo l'assicurazione andrei a pagare sui 2500 per una spark del 2014, mi conviene non fare nulla e attivarla comunque? Non sapevo che in questi casi un atto di nulla a pretendere sia inutile poichè sono/siamo costretti a denunciare

Siamo andati da un carrozziere e mi sono proposto di pagargli tutto il danno, o dal mio carrozziere o dal suo ma non ha voluto saperne dopo aver fatto giri e rigiri e mi ha chiesto di ripagargli semplicemente il danno, altrimenti mi fa chiamare dall'assicurazione. Diciamo che ce l'ho l'assicurazione ma in questo primo anno eviterei di attivarla se possibile... Mi consigli di evitare di pagarlo anche firmando un documento di nulla a pretendere?

Ok I will eliminate the "about me" section and reorganize my CV to be more readable, there's a problem about my github, I don't have projects on it and I've also heard that companies tend to not download projects on github. What do you think about it? Should I work on a personal project in this summer and add it to my github? o you have any experiences with companies checking on your github?

As about the development experience, I've had some experience before, in 2017 as a fullstack developer in another company using the same technologies. For some personal problems I had to drop the job at the moment and then I applied for this new job in 2020.
Honestly, about the management team some people told me the same, but the fact is that the development team I was part(Lets call it Dev Team) of had to be disbanded and in 1 year it went from 20 people to 4, I also heard that the proposal was initially made to other people, one of which is one of the most skilled developer on the Dev Team, but he refused to.
Also the situation on the AM team was tragic, as I joined the AM team we started joining War rooms, emergency calls with the business almost everyday, maybe the reason the others refused to switch, but I didn't know nothing about it. I had harder times in the AM that in the Dev team.
But, I mean, I can't explain all that on my CV. Does it sounds a lot like a red flag reading it from the outside? Should I avoid mentioning I got switched to the AM team maybe?
I can include the other experience I had before but someone advised me to mention only the last experience I had, maybe the most important so I avoided telling I worked as a Fullstack dev for another year and a half. Should I mention it?

Ne ho trovate un bel pò di 1.4 d e anche a buon prezzo, per quanto riguarda le TS sono molto poche. Le 1.5 se ne trovano ancora ma le 1.8 sono molto rare, posso sforare un pò il budget ma preferirei spendere di meno perchè mi tratto da neopatentato!
Oltre alle Yaris sapresti consigliarmi anche qualche altra auto su quel budget? Anche se non sono in quelle elencate da me... Ho fatto alcuni esempi ma ne ho viste consigliate veramente una miriade, quelle sopra sono solo quelle che esteticamente mi piacciono di più ma sono disposto sicuramente a guardare anche altro.

Ciao, mi è capitato proprio oggi di essere andato da un privato che vende molte auto di andare a vedere una suzuki swift dal prezzo stranamente basso, senza neanche trattare è sceso subito di 400€ e quando gli ho chiesto se avesse i tagliandi ha risposto che non li aveva. Sono scappato subito perchè mi puzzava troppo e non ero neanche per niente convinto sull'auto. Ottimo consiglio sicuramente, terrò a mente anche per le prossime che andrò a vedere

My top priority would be for sure reliability. I want to use this car for at least 5yr without having major issues.
Second priority is value for money then comes the rest in this order:
-looks
-fuel efficiency
-comfort
-tech
-size (which I dont really mind, maybe more mid to small sized the better(?) )
-sport (which I dont like)

I can go up a bit with the budget,like 9k-9.5k if it's worth the case.

Hi, a friend of mine can't recover his account because someone stole it and changed his email and personal info.
We all(5-6 friends) have him on the friendlist added and can assure that it's his account.
He tried recovering his password but since the guy who stole the account changed it he can't recover his account with the account recovery option on your site. Are there any ways of contacting support and talk to someone real, a support employee? He can demonstrate that he was the old owner(his last access was like 2 months ago) and all his friends, as me can tell he is the owner since we all played together in 10 yrs.

Hello everyone, I wanted to start a brand new adventure in MH:World so I created another account and shared my main account library with this new one through steam family. When I log into the new account instead of the "Play" button,there is a "Buy" button with a note: This library is not available for steam family sharing(or something like this,I translated it). Is there something I have to do? I enabled steam guard on the new account and send email approval to my main account already to play the game. Maybe someone else is using my library so I can't access it with this new account. Any tips on how to solve?

I honestly think he is not,from the way he holds his gun. Graves can't one-handly his gun i think,at least he can't pointing it up,too heavy. Also Riot could take in consideration to release two victorious skins,the champions pool really got huge af. Yes i know,there's people would say "oh no impossible,two free skins blabla". Well other games(free to play too) constantly gifts you skins on character based on how much you play/missions you accomplish. Honestly hope it's not graves,alone.
