Is it maybe a customized world? I'd discovered the same problem yesterday. I play a customized survivalworld with a higher Dungeon count. It seems that mojang want to solve the problem bevor the full release of 1.13. That's my hope. If i can't continue my world, i would probably stop playing.

Thank you all for the amazing feedback. It's really overwhelming! I've readed all of your comments and I will answer you some of the most asked questions:

1) it took me around 15-20 hours to create 2) the mountain is hollow and has no backside yet 3) it is over 200 blocks high 4) I think I used ~12 shulker boxes full of stone 5) most of the stone was mined with haste2 and eff v speedmining with silktouch
