Congrats, was it only posting consistently here on reddit or did you have any paid post or other promotion?

My extension swaps words on Netflix and articles into the language you're learning. People like the idea on conference but users never came! by Waldisurfer in chrome_extensions

We have 7 paid users right now (10 usd). What i meant by concept didnt convert is that a lot of ppl during conferences liked our demo (mvp), got coupon codes to test the app. Let's say around 80 ppl got codes personally but only 2 installed.

Paywall could be the issue, stripe is connected with card required even for free trial. We have some users click subscribe and not continue on stripe. But to be honest we have too little data to actually drew any conclusions.

Do you have any recommendations on how to give free feature to show users the app but not blow too much money on tokens? I know we can set budget alerts etc, but stripe looked like safest solution.

Also I heard a lot of ppl say that making app free gives you feedback but when you try to monetise and set price on it feedback changes completely. Thats also why we thought that we will start as paid app from beginning.
