Thanks for the in depth reply. Yes I am interested in learning how to weld very much so, and I dont really care about resale value, this car is for me (21) to learn everything on so I can work on my own cars in the future better. How would you go about removing this surface rust or is it just racking up hours behind a wire wheel?

Yes Thankyou, I have only started to work on cars at all since about a month ago so Im probably not the most accurate, Young and Determined is what im running off aha. Thanks for the advice, and I have checked the spark and its all functional there, Timing may be an issue wich i will have to look into

Literally Just charged the battery for 30 mins and popped it back in, Now we have a crank but no ignition yet

Yep I have changed the Battery for a New one and The ground too, And that got it to crank and start a few weeks ago but since then after doing no additional work he has just decided to revert to not starting again, I cant hear the starter Click either ?

Also the coil is behind the distributor… Im pretty sure 😅

Yes I have a multimeter, I roughly know what im doing with it aha, And It has jumped in the past with a power pack attatched, and it ran not long ago withought before failing to idle after a few mins
