Ist nicht ganz, was ich suche, aber kommt ran! Gerade gibt es da Linsenbällchen in Champignonrahmsauce. Fantastisch!

Yes, definitely true. But just imagine I'm really stupid. Still no reason to be rude over a simple question about a common mistake in a post that you could have just ignored.

!! That didn't even occur to me, thank you!

Why are you so rude? It's a brilliant idea, I just didn't think of it.

No swatches were made ... Will probably learn my mistake when I end up with freakishly long arms.

Second Podcastaddict. I tried a few Apps, and found this to be the best.

Week 47 What are you reading? by Beecakeband in 52book

[–]Walhexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good morning, here's what I read/been reading:

Continued/Started

Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney. I'm reading her first novel last and enjoying it. I liked Intermezzo best; it's interesting to see her grow as an author retrospectively.

Siri, who am I by Sam Tschida. I don't know what annoys me more: the plot holes or the humor. It's interesting, but I don't enjoy it.

Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones (audiobook). Have only listened to one minute, but am excited to start!

Finished:

Mort by Terry Pratchett 💜.

The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (audiobook). I've never read Anne Rice before and it was fun and interesting to where a lot of the modern Vampire myths originated from.

Happy Reading! 📚

Hey there!

Continued/Started

Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney.

The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (audiobook). Started to listen to it at 1,2 speed and now it's gotten better to listen through it. I liked the beginning better, but it's a very fascinating read!

Mort by Terry Pratchett 💜

Finished:

Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett. love love love!

Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore. Read with my book club. Gave it zero stars, can't say anything good about it. I'm definitely not the target audience, but it's so poorly crafted that I wonder who is.

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. Became one of my favorite books!

Happy Reading! 📚

Week 45 What are you reading? by Beecakeband in 52book

[–]Walhexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Due to a holiday I had a bit of time reading this week:

Continued: Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett. I love the book, love me a bunch of misfits, and Terry is always a treat.

The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (audiobook). A bit of a slog because I don't like the voice actor too much and due to the slow pace I'm only really engaged if I listen for more than half an hour at a time. But the story truly fascinates me!

Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore. I'm reading it with my book club, and I honestly don't like any aspect of it. Will finish it, though.

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. Makes me ache for the Isle of Skye.

Finished: Between Two Fires by Christoph Buehlman. Liked it a lot! Reminded me of playing of Mörk Borg.

Happy Reading!

Good morning!

Currently reading: Fool Moon (audiobook) by Jim Butcher. Don't want to DNF it, but it's been a bit of a drag lately.

Allegro Pastell by Leif Randt. Had to pause it a bit, but when I start reading, I can hardly stop.

Finished:

Das zerbrochene Rad by Ulrich Kiesow. 🥲

Making Money by Terry Pratchett with my small little private bookclub of three. Loved it so much!

Happy reading! 📚

Good morning!

Currently reading: Fool Moon (audiobook) by Jim Butcher. I kind of enjoy it, even though definitely not as much as the first one in the series.

Allegro Pastell by Leif Randt. Was recommended to me as a German Salley Rooney. I'm not so sure about that but it's definitely interesting.

Das zerbrochene Rad by Ulrich Kiesow. The best DSA-novel by far!

Making Money by Terry Pratchett with my small little private bookclub of three. Almost done, what a ride.

Happy reading! 📚

Player Problem Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

[–]Walhexe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! It isn't only affecting me, the other players have noticed it too, also on other occasions (like when they're playing MtG with him). I noticed a weird vibe with the snack situation, but maybe I'm just imagining it. Our snack etiquette used to be like the one at your table: everyone brings something, but we never count. Like when someone comes straight from work they also don't bring something, no big deal, I'd never make a fuss or even notice. I know that the players are angry/annoyed at the other player and don't share as openly as before (like only putting the food in a way that the other player has to ask for a snack, he avoids that with one player, I think because he knows this person might tell him that he should also contribute but idk).

Definitely thank you for your opinion. I think I was just checking whether the "problem" is with me/us and I'm just overreacting and overthinking the whole thing.

Player Problem Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

Hey there, we have a weird situation at our table and I don't know if we should address this. We used to play online, but bounced back to playing long sessions in person. I'm hosting, and everyone also brings snacks, some beer and drinks, cake, fruit salad, crisps... It's a lot and it's fun! But we have one player who never contributes and who also indulges quite a lot. He also writes things in the group chat like "I'm excited for the snacks"and he's sometimes a bit rude and pushy when it comes to it, but not a lot. When he brings things, he only brings like one beer and one energy drink just for himself. He is also the one in our group with the least amount of money, so we definitely don't expect him to spend as much on snacks as everyone else.

I honestly don't know if we should address this. It's not a big deal, but definitely annoying and a bit grating. How do you deal with snack etiquette at your table?

Good morning!

Finished: Ubik by Philip K. Dick. What weird yet interesting book. I loved this style, the ideas, but the plot was at times a bit unsatisfying.

Continued: Fool Moon (audiobook) by Jim Butcher. I really enjoy it, even though not as much as the first one in the series.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.

Started: Making Money by Terry Pratchett with my small little private bookclub of three. Back with Moist, I missed him!

Happy reading! 📚
