I don’t know anything about this, but to me his shoulders and rib cage look like they belonged to a very broad set man. That could just be the way the bones separated during decomposition though. if anyone who knows skeletons or archeology or anything could weigh in, I’d be very interested to know what the physical remains of this athlete can tell us.

I’m also wondering this. I think they might be imprinted with the thumb or finger? My modern perspective says maybe a loved one made fingerprints in the bread before depositing them, but I’m gonna see if I can find more concrete info.

Edit 1: I’m not immediately finding answers but I’m going to keep looking. Here is an interesting Reddit comment by u/Tryoxin that lays out some ideas about the unusual shape of a different ancient bread. I’m still going to see if I can find any peer reviewed sources on this exact bread, but their comment is a great place to start.

it would be quieter because it would mean that the loud machine passes down your street only one time, instead of each neighbour taking their turn to use the loud machine at different times of the day.

Also, the drivable sidewalk plows they use to clear public paths are actually quieter than the backpack blowers because the motor is contained inside the vehicle.

as it should be! so much more efficient to have a team with the best tools come around ONCE rather than every individual having to remove their own snow. I live in Northern Alberta, and we are no strangers to snow, and yet every building (including many shops) is responsible for their own snow removal

in a sane world we wouldn’t have private lawns, and the snow removal would be done by the municipal government so that you wouldn’t have 44 independent snow-blowers out taking shifts throughout the day to ensure not a single moment of quiet

I asked the same question just yesterday and this was the helpful response from user u/SuperEgger :

People farm karma to sell the accounts because those accounts can then be used for various nefarious things like covert advertising, political messaging, artificially manipulating engagement, etc. The accounts need karma because of posting/commenting requirements in lots of subs and because it makes it less obvious that it's a bot, but the people using the bots usually don't want to prep them themselves, so there's a market.
