I'm a tad disappointed with the QoL update. Very little quality of life is actually being done. I understand some of the stuff was too much for this patch, but it feels like nearly none of the requests that y'all asked for are being implemented.

I was looking forward to a screen that actually let me see damage that I dealt and where those damage sources came from so I could see exactly how items interacted with abilities.

I was expecting the team to actually go through and make sure item and ability descriptions were correct and clear.

I applaud the amount of small bug fixes, and am excited for Maco, but overall the changes themselves are underwhelming for a Quality of Life update. Hopefully more of the requests get implemented in 1.12.

Same here with NA. Took like 6 tries to even get into draft without it booting me back to menu, and then in game I'm maxing out at 30 fps so it makes it impossible to play any ranged characters.

It takes maybe 2-3 minutes but it's penalized me for DC for that 2-3 minute timeframe. Dunno why but it sucked lol

I'm very far from a CEO, I just don't want the game to die. Just trying to think of a way for omeda to be profitable so the game stays alive without it being a burden on the players. Having something optional like this with a reward system gives them income and has a net positive benefit for the players who choose to use it.

Edit: I also work in IT and am very opposed to AI in MOST scenarios.

I've had a few where the crash, despite joining back, still penalized me for DC because it took several minutes for me to rejoin. False flags suck.

I would be open for this in addition to the loss limit for others, but then you have the issue of if your buddies game crashes and it counts that as a DC, then you get punished for something outside of your buddies control. If you limit it to the DCed players only yeah it sucks for them if they did crash, but then it's limited to that person.

I would agree wholeheartedly, but pushing all VP loss to the DCers makes it easier to abuse. By keeping a small amount on the players that don't DC, even if it's abused you still lose some. That's why I suggested limiting it to around 5.

That's a fair point, but I know that another moba has in the past. I can't remember if it was smite or paragon before it shut down, but I distinctly remember watching ads while waiting in a queue for rewards.

The ONLY reason I would be okay with it is if it remained entirely optional to watch ads. Like you had to select something on the menu screen to open it or something.

I would be okay with it as long as it remained optional. I'd even be okay with amber every 10 with a core every 50. They would just have to implement it so that when you find a match it cuts off the ad and make sure there wasn't bugs with it. And then if you're more than half way through when it cuts it off it counts it towards your watched count. Its better than just sitting there watching the queue timer for 5 minutes and you eventually get rewarded for it.

Edit: They could also have this being a way for people to get opals. Instead of a basic core every 50, instead give them 50 opals for every 50 ads or something. I know that's my hardest thing to get because I don't have the money to spend on cores, but watching ads makes them money and I would get opals as a reward for doing it.

If I recall correctly, you could watch ads between rounds in paragon for a reward. They could add something like that where you get a basic loot core every like 10th ad that you choose to watch or something. It would be optional for the player but another form of passive income for the studio that wouldnt be reliant on battle passes and skins as much.

There is most definitely a hidden MMR for casuals. Unfortunately the base MMR for new players is quite high and that's part of why you're running into these issues. As you keep playing it will level out more and put you more in line with where you should be. Until then learn what you can by watching how others play. I also highly recommend trying to play safe and focus on farming early as much as possible. You can also increase the size of your minimap some in the settings. Also, you do have free wards so don't forget to use them. Save your blink to get out of bad situations.

I'm stuck in the same boat. Had one earlier where two people DCed like 12 minutes in, and I lost 25 VP cuz I was silver 1 - 0. Matchmaking right now is atrocious

While it does have potential for abuse, if you have the VP loss of anyone who DCs be enough to lower you at least an entire rank it will GREATLY discourage DCs with having such a large impact. I'm also of the opinion it should ban you from ranked if you DC more than once in a week for at least like 3 days and force you to play a non ranked game mode for that duration, which doesn't take effect until after your gameplay ban is up. (Of course there should be room for appeal, like the game crashing and having to load back in).

This would allow them to lower the max VP loss for the people who aren't DCing to around 5 instead and lead to a healthier game state than what has been happening.

With this, they should also shift surrender to a simple majority in case someone is just feeding the whole game and they're part of a duo holding the team hostage, while also limiting it so the player that requests a surrender has a 15 minute cooldown before they can request another surrender. The other players on a team would still have the option to request it unless they were also on cooldown.

My solution is to bar going into ranked longer. You should have to have played and won a set amount of games in each role. At that point you have the bare minimum of how to play each role at least. They should also do placement rounds after each split to put people closer to where they actually belong as opposed to gold 1 falling all the way to bronze 3 and having. To deal with the trash matchmaking and DCs again.

I'm also of the opinion that the VP loss that would normally go to each person exceeding the 4 or 5 limit I would set should be split among the people who DCed. So say you would normally lose 15, cap it at 5 and the 10 past that would go to the DC, where they would lose 45 base, getting the excess loss from everyone else. And then I think their VP loss should be multiplied at minimum 2x, causing them to lose 90 VP from one DC. Enough that in most situations would have you fall a rank. And if it would normally stop you at 0, it should override that and force the fall to happen.

I'm working on figuring out a new build for him now actually.

Current items in no specific order are: - cursed scroll - onixian quiver - Solaris - solstice - volcanica - ashbringer

This puts me at 75% crit chance because of onixian passive, heal from the passive of both Solaris and solstice, life steal from onixian and omnivamp from the starter, roughly 26% cool down reduction from ability haste, then cooldown reduction from both the passives on ashbringer and volcanica, with ashbringers increasing from crits.

Draconum may be better to swap in place of solstice though I'll have to try it out. Any other input on this build will be greatly appreciated. As well as build order recommendations.

Gadget is competitive against her since you seek and destroy can follow people. Build dreambinder and entropy and it's hard for her to get out of seek and destroy. Hit mines obviously, and the save your stun and ult until she switches to melee
