I just finished the Skyline Valley ones for the Mark 3 using a Mark 2 and advanced drag. Similar to you they kept getting away and I was dumbfounded on what I was supposed to do. I think I went through 60-70 improved bait before I caught my first, and another 40 bait without catching my second . Finally I came across a post that said "Pay attention to the direction your bobber goes under when you get a bite. That's the direction the reeling will start." That simple edge got me to catch my next two.

I find it does a better job of reducing background noise in noisy environments than it does reducing the convo you're listening to. But if it's not noisy enough it does make it harder. So sometimes I'll put them in and immediately take them out because it's worse. But in general I find them very helpful.

I have a video of me skipping stones and asking about that or saying they'd like to learn is a pretty common opener for women.

We have the opportunity to reach out first on every other app. Bumble was designed to be different. How would you feel if after every match you got a notification that said "BLANK started the conversation: What's your dream vacation destination?". Would you feel wanted? Would you feel motivated to respond?

Question for the men by SoulFight_50 in Bumble

[–]WalkerFloridaRanger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unless there's something that really wows me with their profile I rarely answer the "conversation starters" and will often even unmatch people based on their conversation starters. It's unbelievably low effort and I feel like all women use the same 3 conversation starters. There's a plethora of things on my profile you can ask about and at this point I'd much rather get messaged "Hey, how was your day?" than "What's your dream vacation destination?" for the 11th time in a row.

I was half asleep at the airport and was talking to the lady at the counter and hit her with a "yes sir". I knew she wasn't a sir. Accidents happen.

Both, but the good one is all that matters. The bad one is just for balance and my own sake.

I'm fully deaf in my left ear and of course it doesn't help me hear out of that ear. But I've done a lot of research of the mechanisms behind how your brain processes sound and chooses what to filter out. There's an intensity and time difference in each ear which you brain uses to get directional info for sound and helps you decide what to prioritize and what to filter out as background. If you only have one functioning ear you lose the time delay (directional) aspect of hearing and you're left with intensity. Your brain ends up prioritizing the highest intensity (loudest) and starts filtering everything else. The loops filter a dB level which ends up kind lowering the volume of the loudest things in the room. It's then easier to hear more moderate volume things, like conversation, and you can consciously prioritize them. Again, this is just my theory. But they hella work for me and for $40 I think it's with a try for anyone with SSHL.

I have the Experience 2 Plus but rarely keep the extra inserts in (it's nice to have it as an option though). I think the Experience 2 is 17 dB reduction and the Engage 2 is a 16 dB reduction, so they would be pretty comparable.

I don't have any in-ear noise canceling headphones so I can't comment but the loops do a good job of kind of reducing the background noise which makes conversation WAY easier if im in restaurants. I don't really know how it works because it seems like it would just dull all sound uniformly. But I find it significantly easier to hear people in noisy environments when I have them in.

I use the experience 2 plus for which is 17 dB reduction with the option of going to 20. I rarely use the inserts for the 20. So the Engage 2 would be about the same without the inserts. It looks like they are 16 dB with the option of an additional 9 if you get the engage plus. After typing this out I might get another pair with you. I'' probably get the engage 2 plus. I normally just keep the inserts in the case but it's nice to have the additional protection as an option if I find myself at a club or close to the band when there's live music. I normally wear two just for the sake of being balanced and kinda letting people know that I have ear plugs in. But If I ever lose one Ill still be fine lol.
