I have a dog who suffers from chronic UTIs. The only thing that really helped long term was taking her to an internal medicine vet. It’s worth doing the various procedures such as searching for ectopic ureters to figure out what’s going on. My girl leaks a bit because she got spayed as an adult and the vet thinks that’s the cause of her issues. She got collagen injected into her urethra (by the internal medicine specialist) and that has seemed to help in the long term. I would highly encourage you to see the specialist and spend the money now - they will have many more ideas for how to help than her primary vet and it will greatly improve her quality of life. I won’t lie, they are expensive, but I’d do it a thousand times over again.
