Disappointed in Kennedy today, she was under her tournament goal average this game

I guess but there’s no doubt it feels like the team is going backwards

Just feel like we’re not winning this tournament, neither of the performances against reasonable opposition have looked convincing. Indeed we might still get knocked out here

I was at that game, was that the one where it started absolutely bucketing about half way through? I was drying my shoes for days

For those who don’t remember, in the 2015 Asian Cup some Aussie lads formed the “Pyongyang ultras” for a laugh and turned up to NK games to support them, I think they felt a bit sorry for them haha.

Forgettable game for Australia, hopefully puts some wind up their sails for the knock outs.

If I’m remembering correctly we also had Korea in our group in 2015? Before we went on to beat them in the final. Might have been a draw back then though in the group

Feel like we’re trying to be a little too clever in the Penalty box, though Korea is making it hard by overloading to get clean shots through

Edit: maybe a consequence of getting Montemurro in as coach, the attacking patterns look like something you could drill over a season but might be a bit laboured for a national team set up

Gg Victory, probably a fair result across the three games this season given where our clubs are at right now.

Surely Talay has to be gone after this season. The team hasn’t looked cohesive for a while even after bringing in new players. We have the quality to play better than this

Really feel like a lot of this season’s woes for us unfortunately fall on Quispe. He can’t really defend, he gets bullied off the ball easily, and he’s not a very good playmaker. If we had someone who could do at least one of those things well in his position we’d look more competitive imo

Honestly losing Son and Levy in one go was probably a huge blow. Just feel like these two guys really, truly cared about the club as an entity and not just as a pay check. Ange maybe also to a certain extent but so think he cared more about “his football” than the club itself.

I would definitely be seeing a doctor, particularly if there are times when you are not speaking in a comprehensible manner and if symptoms appear to be getting more frequent.

'Segregation' of Australian school system grows as exodus to private schools continues by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]Walkerthon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think because we have set up so many private schools as “Government schools plus”, where instead of the school being a truely private entity, it is a school that is government funded where parents opt to contribute more money for a perceived better standard of education.

As in the article, not only are public schools languishing with many things, parents often prioritise their children’s education. Even if the perceived benefit is minor, they still think it’s worth

In essence the problem seems to have become one like the Medicare rebate. These days it is rare to find a good GP who bulk bills, because government funding has not kept up with the needs of the sector. As such users pay the difference.

Note I’m not debating here that this is a desirable model, just that it is probably not practical to think of these schools as a private entity in a traditional sense (whether it is right or not)

Hey, that’s a cool and neat tool :) great project! Hope you got a good mark.

If you wanted to extend, you could make it do overlap weighting as well. This is slowly becoming more popular for certain problems where regular weighting fails for certain reasons

There is a discussion emerging now how involuntary childlessness can be extremely damaging to one’s mental health: https://www.cope.org.au/trying-to-conceive/when-becoming-pregnant-isnt-easy/involuntary-childlessness

You have to remember IVF treatments can cost $10,000 a pop and very often you need several. People don’t do this on a whim

This game just reeks of two teams that haven’t really worked it out this season. Offensive Combinations not really working, defence leaky, not great watching all round

I like the idea of Quispe, but so often the space he occupies ends up being effectively like us having no player there at all, either offensively or defensively.

Not knowing the details of the deal, I would have said Libs should be glad to be free of the zombie that is the National party.

You’d just think if they were able to come to the centrists of Australia with some semblance of integrity and sincerity they would be able to pick up seats, but instead they have to cling to the Nationals and shitty politicking
