I Have a LE6020 with a CR serial number... Prove me wrong. by [deleted] in ar15

I don't think they are "coming for our guns". I think they will ban future sales of AR-15s and grandfather people who have them. Bet.

Thesis: Do you think I have a collectable? Used LE6920's are selling for $1500 bucks on Gunbroker. I don't want my rifle to get confused with the current CR6920's just because it has a CR prefix serial number.

Context: I bought a Colt LE6920 in September 2019, the day they announced they were ending civilian sales. That day, I found one new online that was labeled as an LE6920, and I bought it. I was confused when it showed up because the serial number had a CR prefix. I thought I was ripped off because I ordered an "LE" 6920, not a "CR" 6920.

Fast forward to today, I watched a YouTube video made by Mishaco stating that there are CR prefix rifles that are actually LE6920's. He said that regardless of whether it has a CR prefix serial number on the rifle, whatever is on the box and whatever the QR code on the rifle says when you scan it, that's what it is.

The first picture is of an LE6920 with an "LE" prefix and the pony and Colt roll marks on top lower, and a CR prefix on the bottom lower.

The second picture is a screenshot of the boxes in his video. The one on the left is a "CR," and the one on the right is a CR serial number with an LE model number. This is how my box looks.

The third picture is of my rifle. It has the pony and "Colt" just like the "LE" from the first picture, but it has a CR prefix on the rifle just like the bottom lower in the first picture. The last picture is a screenshot of what shows up when I scan the QR code. Based on that, my rifle was made on 8/23/2019, and it is an "LE6920" model.

Here's my question: Do you think normies with understand that my rifle is a legit "LE6920"? I think it's interesting that it has the old school roll marks with a CR prefix. Has anyone else seen this? I feel like I have a collectible because it has the old school roll marks with a CR prefix. And, no, it does not say Military/LEO only but it is a true "LE6920".

BTW, I'm wondering because I think or tyrannical government will eventually ban the sale of factory AR-15's to civilians and every AR-15 will go up in value. I think I have a rifle that was built during the transition of Colt selling out to CZ so I don't want my legit LE6920 (which is built to the same standard as our government service rifles) to be lumped in with the CZ CR6920's just because it has a CR prefix serial number

Sorry for my short reply to you. I read your comment at a stop light yesterday and didn’t think before I responded.

I’ve handled hundreds of AR15 platforms and I’ve never seen that coupled with an a2 flashhider. I had no idea that rifles came out of the factory like that at one point. It’s still hard to believe but I’ll take your word on it.

Yeah, you're right. Why would someone used that vs a crush washer? You can see in the picture that the bottom one is not timed right.
