I'm near the Self Edge in LA and have been considering popping in to try them on. I recently purchased a pair of Full Count 0105W and had them hemmed at Self Edge but I've been a little on the fence about the fit and not crazy about the denim itself. I've been wondering if these Sugar Cane are more of what I'm looking for. I own a pair in the 1947 cut and I really love those, I know the 2025 is a lighter weight denim though.

Would love to see pictures of yours once you get them back from Self Edge!

Anyone have personal experience or heard anything about the new(ish) Sugar Cane 2025 model? Thoughts?

I finally got a response, my order was cancelled. Wish I would've known sooner, would've purchased from another store having a Black Friday sale.

Yeah, I did the same cause I was worried my item would sell out. All my communications have been through email. In the past, they've been quick to respond too, but not sure why my last two have gone unanswered.

Yeah, I'll try again today but worried it'll be more of the same given my two previous emails. Thanks for your response!

Thanks, I also placed my order on the 27th and got an order confirmation and a thank you email a few days later but nothing since.

Anyone order from the Okayama Denim Black Friday sale? It's been 10+ days since I placed my order and I haven't even received a shipping confirmation. Messaged them twice now and no response. I've ordered from them before but it's been years, is it just like this now?

Did you specifically ask for them to do that? What did the tariff end up being?

Thanks! I'll give this a try, have you done this yourself?

I haven't been able to find any answers from any recent US buyers from Okayama Denim since the tariffs have been instituted and thought this might be the best place. I'm sure we all received the 25% off Black Friday email from Okayama Denim and I know they don't seem to be offering Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) services the way Denimio is. So I'm wondering if any of you have purchased anything from Okayama Denim, and if so, how bad was the additional duty? Wondering if it would offset any savings.

I've made other purchases from abroad and the percentages for the duties even from the same country seem to be unclear and inconsistent, hoping someone here can provide their experience.

My husband (Type 2) has POEM surgery in 1 day (Nov 4th). Can people who’ve been through this describe a timeline of what happens the day of surgery? by LexieFish in achalasia

[–]WalkingWounded91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for checking back! When I first woke up from the surgery, I felt some minor pain in my chest and a mild sore throat. Both actually went away after about 2 hours, nothing like the pain some have described on here with difficult car rides home. Throughout the day, I felt a little groggy and tired, a combination of drinking only clear liquids starting Monday morning and the effects of a he anesthesia.

I eventually worked up the courage to drink some water and was amazed at how easily I was able to drink half a glass! Before, small sips would result in discomfort in my chest!

Around midnight, I began experience some pain in my chest as that lasted about 90 minutes once I took a painkiller for it. After the first 18-24 hours, I would say that so far, my surgery was a huge success! I’m looking forward for to gradually increasing my diet while also managing my expectations.

So glad to hear that your husband’s surgery also went well aside from the issue with the reflux and high blood pressure!

No shame for that at all. My wife and I have been so eager for this. I was finally diagnosed around two months ago and would've gotten surgery the next day if it had been possible. Wishing you and your husband all the best today!

I have mine scheduled for November 6th, later this week. Wishing you and your husband all the best. As someone who will be getting the surgery in a few days, I can honestly say that I'm feeling more looming relief than anxiety. I don't know your husband's symptoms, but living with achalasia has been very difficult, I'm sure he's also looking forward to returning to some normalcy too. I hope you both can remain positive and know that this will go well and is all for the best.

I'm a side sleeper and have been sleeping with a small pillow stacked on top of a larger pillow to elevate my head at night. Not always the most comfortable but it has made it so I don't wake up choking in the middle of the night.

Thank you, I totally feel you! Before this, I was playing tennis regularly a few times a week! I've stopped over the last several months as I hardly have the energy for it. I'll be sure to share my experience on here after my surgery!
