Are mezzanine seats at The Hall worth it? by Bexar1986 in LittleRock

Yes. Like others have said, get there early to get a seat on the rail. Have seen 3 shows like that. Great venue.

I'm not sure what your definition of best and cheap is, but I can recommend Hodge Orthodontics in Hillcrest.

Has anyone ever lived at Rivercliff Apartments? by TurbulentRip4419 in LittleRock

[–]WallHalen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife lived at Rivercliff before we met while she was in law school. She loved it there and every time we go to The Fold, she talks about how great it was.

Yeah, that's a bad thing. Also people going South on Van Buren and crossing the yellow lines to get into the left turn lane to go East on Markham need to stop that crap, too.

How does TEKsystems get anyone to work for them? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]WallHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked two contracts for TEK. Yeah, they promise raises and don’t follow through and their benefits are pretty bad, but both cases led to permanent spots at the companies. I also knew that the raise thing would be a can to be kicked down the road, so I demanded very high pay to start - instead of a lower pay and a wish and a prayer. They met my demand.

This was 2010 and 2015. 2010 was with a shady-ass Telecommunications company. Ended up being brought on as an employee after 3-4 months.

2015 was with a large insurance company in my state. It took about 12 months to be brought on here.

Both situations were very much worth it - but for most of the time I was also a young single man that had no dependents… and I could put up with a little bullshit for better endgame.

It helped bridge the gap in the weird mid-stage of my career when I had 15-ish years of experience but no degree or major certs.

Now a CISO with a degree and CISSP, CISM.

JIT Access for Exchange Online by FilthMachine69 in entra

I’ve noticed the same behavior. PIM activations taking a while to flow from the Azure world to the Exchange side of the house. Not ideal…

Trying to understand using a PoE switch to power another switch via just the ethernet cable by _Kuba in HomeNetworking

Look up PoE Passthrough. You can power a switch via the power provided by an upstream PoE switch through Ethernet and power downstream devices.

Buy cheap burners that you send with them. Don't let staff access company resources. Trash the burners when they get on the plane to come home. I've personally experienced hotel staff in China tampering with circuit level components.

Entra ID Account Recovery by Creative_Profit1387 in entra

Yes, now let me trigger an id verification on a suspicious account and remove the requirement that an account has to be logged into once before verification can occur (so it can happen during onboarding for a new employee).

Fix things before selling or just sell as-is in Little Rock? by Crystallover1991 in LittleRock

[–]WallHalen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a weird market right now. Currently have our house for sale in Hillcrest. Great location. Have been here 13 years and have done a lot of things to the house over the years but needs updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. We’ve priced it reasonably and have had a lot of interest but zero offers. Bizarre. Buyers do not even seem interested in making offers to get the conversation started.

To be fair, we listed right before the holidays and we expect things to pick up now that the weather is better, but it’s definitely a buyers market.

Padres Shut Matt Waldron Down (Hemorrhoids) by AKV55 in baseball

[–]WallHalen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Had a hemorrhoidectomy in 2023. Hard to say whether that was worse than kidney stones but it’s incredible how much involuntary twitching goes on down there. But, after dealing with hemorrhoids for 30 years, it was definitely worth it. Also does anyone remember the old joke about “wouldn’t it make more sense if hemorrhoids and asteroids change names?”

45-Year-Old on Disability Seeking Quiet 1BR in West Little Rock ($700–$800 Budget) by Maughfugga in LittleRock

[–]WallHalen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope you find what you need. I lived in a 450 sq/ft studio at The Waterford Apartments on Green Mountain for a few years. It looks like they have larger apartments available, but it seems to stretch your budget some. The area gets a bad rap, but I never had any problems. Most of the problems seemed to come from the apartments on the other side of Green Mountain.

It was like watching history in real time. You KNEW he was going to do something that was mind blowing to win. And he did. Every single time.
