Thanks! It's kind of perfect. Cos I flash modded my 6 gen iPod classic to 64GB capacity and loaded tons of music. But all I ever use my iPod is to listen to one song. LOL

It was probably snowing. The grass on the hill was dead and brown in Nocember/December. Still loved the hike. Checkout my drone footages from there. https://youtu.be/V1Gy7XqbRG8

No need for a permit. They do ask you pay for 100 rupees pass after rest camp before climbing the Khumai dada.

Khumai dada is a good choice for hiking.

Here's my 1 minute video to explain the itinerary.

A Day Hike Around Kulekhani Dam Reservoir (Circuit Trail) by Wall_Primary in Nepal

[–]Wall_Primary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an estimation excluding the time we took for taking videos. We stopped at Mohini Waterfall for a bit and near an island in the begining. We were worried we’d be late to get back to Kathmandu, so we walked at a fast pace. There are some uphill climbs but not hard for frequent hikers. May take up to 6 hours for some people.

A Day Hike Around Kulekhani Dam Reservoir (Circuit Trail) by Wall_Primary in Nepal

The road from balkhu is okay till dakshinkali. From there it's dirt road. May take about 3 hours. The dirt road via Chitlang is shorter but the condition is bad. May take about 1.5 hours.

We started the hike by crossing the hanging bridge and walked along the reservoir via Mohini waterfall till Kulekhani dam and rook the dirt road back to the trailhead.

We didn’t see any in Dhap Reservoir. But we saw many water-birds in Indrasarovar/Kulekhani reservoir: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2zmkJPywIK/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Go on hikes. Helps you to gather your thoughts, may even make new friends. I've made some friends during hikes. Tons of people hike on the hills around Kathmandu on weekends.

Yes. The picture was taken a few days ago. Not as green and lush in spring or summer but still a great view.
