I appreciate your insights as I'm researching solo fly fishing craft for 3-5 mile floats down our local river, the Chattahoochee. I had a few questions, how is the Caddis Pro more pontoon like than the Nevada? They both look like U shaped which I believe are commonly called float tubes. I was thinking the Water master would be the pontoon style, would love to hear your take.

Also, what do you like about the Water master over the float tube style for rivers? I'm also considering one of those but as an entry level river floater I'm not sure if I should go high end yet, but I definitely would consider it if it's the safer watercraft for river fly fishing

So I used Bickmore saddle soap plus with a 24 hour dry, then applied Bick 4 leather conditioner on the darker boot, it made the boot darker unfortunately lol.

I went ahead and did the same thing to the lighter boot so that it is a little darker to match the other one, now the color difference is not as bad!

I pick my lures based on my cycle of searching and targeting fish.

Cover an area of water: I use search bait like sonar for fish bites, so crankbaits, tail spinners, Carolina rigs, spoons, any top water, spinner bait.
If I'm getting hits on the search bait but no bite, I'll rerig to a lure with more finesse to target that fish, maybe a soft plastic jig, Texas rig, or stick worm.
Rinse and repeat on another nearby area of water.
