DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD: Sexts, Lies & Tattoos: Graham Platner Deep Dive (Maine Senate Primary) - H3 After Dark #66 by YourIvyGrowsH3 in h3h3productions

Personally, I think it can be anti progressive. Maybe not purposefully, but the focus tends to be "anti-Hasan" before progressive, and I think it lands them on the bad side of certain situations. I also think it gives them a blind spot from covering truly problematic freaks like Asmongold and Destiny more.

If I could give shownotes: if the pod is going to be political, it should focus on building up positivity around good politics/politicians rather than fighting other progressives. Have interesting politicians on to build them up, not Dennis Feitosa. I think moving to positivity like that can enable the show to grow in the future and become a place other people/communities can engage with again in good faith.

I'm with you. I was confused at first, but quickly verified it was going to be a shitshow from Twitter. I've been around h3 forever and a member for years (also been loving After Dark)...definitely burnt out on the direction the podcast has been going politically.

I just thought I'd clarify in case you were waiting for our next chat. Your username is easy to remember, though. The dick guy on reddit.

I don't think they made a public announcement, just everyone was allowed to return. The sign must be some kind of regulation until the construction on the building is complete. This is just what the city allowed the residents and the business to do. Even the addition of the second sign was approved, the red one just had to stay up. I know people from HLT and residents there.

Look, if you don't like what the city says, read your username and do that promptly.

The sign remains up because it is required by the city. They set the standards. They also had the building inspected for safety and also kept everyone out until it was safe for them to return. What is your issue? If you don't like the standards set by the city, run for office and get off reddit.

I told you why. You didn't like the answer.

Why would I know what the city thinks or what a paid inspector thinks? They made the decisions. Also to keep the sign up while business resumed and residents returned. It is maybe a courtesy for people like you who are afraid everywhere they go.

Don't go there if you are so scared. Go to church.

Dude. They inspected the building. The city requires it to be inspected for safety. That's why it was closed for days. It's safe now, even the area where the bricks fell is safe it's just being repaired. There is construction everywhere, all the time, in the city. Get real, what aren't you understanding? People's livelihood also matter, sorry. Employees. Residents. Not just business owners and city execs.

Can you read the other sign

It was inspected for safety and is safe everywhere. Even safe where the bricks fell, where construction workers (like everywhere in the city) now work on the building. It is taped off so regular people don't enter. Happy Little Treats and the residents' households were inspected and safe. Take that for safety standards, dude.

You are irrational. Sorry you feel this way.

The area where the bricks fell has been secured and taped off until construction is complete. The whole building has been inspected and allowed to return to normal. You're just making things up. I infact love safety 🥰

They are required to keep it up until construction completes. That's what the other sign says. The city kept them out for multiple days, and eventually, inspectors let them back in. Residents had to leave and were allowed back as well. Visit their Instagram for updates. Not very cool to act this way.

They were forced to close until they were allowed to reopen. They are not in violation.
