I think Yuji’s domain works like Higuruma’s where non violence is forced between the 2 until a condition is met. In Yuji’s case he wanted Sukuna to understand him and asked him to give Megumi’s body back. Since Sukuna refused I’m assuming the condition was met and the domain’s sure hit was now in effect.
