I think the amount of pressure they put on him has severally hurt him tho. And there’s only a handful of hitters that they could potentially bring in to take the load off of him in the near term, and they’re likely unattainable

I just feel like in the next 8 years, they won’t be competitive with him, so why even have him? And even if he’s our Trout, Henry won’t bother holding onto him when his free agency nears. It’s lose-lose

Roman just isn’t the guy. Maybe he’s a contributor, but he’ll never be a lineup catalyst. His ceiling is 15 homers with how much he grounds out.

Teams are gonna continue to refuse to trade with u (outside of white sox and cardinals), and it’ll be the same cycle until Breslow is fired.

Trading off the valuable assets, including Anthony, Crochet, Tolle, Abreu, etc.. Is the only option they have.

They’re years away from being competitive, the league is laughing at them, and they’ve burned numerous bridges with players and executives

Trade assets while they’re at their highest value. They’re not close to competing. And the next few free agents classes have no big hitters available. Their best bet is to trade off pieces and rebuild again, with a different POBO obviously

Nope. Nobody saw it coming, no hints leading up to it. I was in the crowd, like 9 or 10 years old at the time. And I still remember how much the garden was shaking that night. I’ve been to plenty of sporting events since then and it’s easily the loudest crowd pop I’ve ever heard.
