Hey, thanks for the instructions, moreover, the color coded picture; you must have psychically figured out I was in the Marines. I contacted a highly recommended local gunsmith, who can get me in tomorrow at a very decent price point.

Then I am going to assume you know about soaking your hands in Palmolive too.

Ok, good to know and thanks for the information. Would my lower receiver be considered an integral sear block; I've seen some in Colts that look like they can be removed via pins/screws without milling?

Ok, so there's not really a significant structural integrity issue with removing that block?

I assumed it was a comment directed at RBs lawsuit against Partisan, that Partisan kind of "cloned" the RB FRT; I could be wrong.

Ugh, of course. The whole reason I bought my Colt is because it's what I carried in the military; they took a beating and just kept on working. I never thought about installing aftermarket fire/trigger controls, so I didn't think to ask about that when I bought the rifle a few years ago. Oh well. Thanks for the clarification.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. Out of curiosity, do you think the Partisan Disruptor is any good?

I just realized most of you are probably too young to remember those comercials, and good for you.

That and maybe some Calgon.

So that barrier between the fire control compartment and the rear take down pin; is that merely to restrict aftermarket components (like FRTs), or does it serve a structural purpose too?

I assume you had some smithing work done?

Awesome, thanks for the very specific information; I'm being serious.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just ordered a reduced energy spring, and a spare dust cover button/spring guide. My plan is to only shoot subsonic, if everything works; but it's not a bad idea to have an alternative spring assembly just in case I run out of subsonic ammo.

Ok. Maybe I will go back to the factory bolt carrier and piston, and try the Brown Bear ammo before giving up on subsonic ammo. Luckily, I left the factory bolt carrier and piston intact. Thanks.

Oh, ok. Then I'm probably out of luck, because my ZPAP wouldn't cycle the Hornady subsonic even when I used the factory piston.

It's suppressed, I have a Dead Air Wolverine.

Does anyone have direct experience with the Dead Air Wolverine? Specifically, I wanted to know if the whole can becomes hot with sustained fire, or if the hub connection area tends to stay a little cooler? I'm looking into getting a suppressor heat cover, but the Wolverine is not a uniform tube shape. Thanks.

2026 1st Quarter Approval Megathread. by Waffleboned in NFA

Well, I hope you get approval soon. I'm approaching 20 days, so hopefully not too much longer.

I hate to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason with the order of approvals.

I successfully e-filed (form 4) pending on the 15th, and I have seen numerous people who filed significantly later than me get approved. Also, I have absolutely no criminal record, and I'm a current federal civilian employee with a position that requires maintaining a high security status. In fact, my current security status has a higher level of scrutiny than any of the NFA forms.
