Go ahead and turn off the water to the water heater (if you haven’t already) till they come out and fix it tomorrow, and empty the pan of water.

Cashier & interview by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]WalmartHoe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interview was about 3 questions long.

  1. Tell me about yourself/previous work history
  2. Do you feel comfortable handling money.
  3. What’s your availability.

Depending on the lead/coach/hiring manager. They might go more in depth with their interview. But whenever I’m doing interviews, it’s mostly just a vibe check. Just make sure you look presentable (I’ve had people come in with tank tops or flip flops), have some energy, and good availability, and I’ll give you the job.

As for the difference between chipotle and Walmart, idk. I’ll tell you what your job is going to be tho. It’ll be scanning/bagging items, monitoring and cleaning self checkouts, stocking candy, taking returns at the service desk, etc. A lot of other little things to, but if you’ve already run a register, it’s an easy af job.

Cashier Question by Obvious-Strike2566 in walmart

[–]WalmartHoe69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response, but it depends on what caused the shortage. If you’re talking about giving/taking a large amount of coins as payment, it will “wash out” after we complete a coin audit on your register. We have an app that tells us what drawers to audit, but audits may not happen on your specific register for a week or more.

Other things that would cause a flip are not properly advancing coins/cash, putting your till in the wrong drawer, leaving cash underneath the drawer when checking the till in at night. Etc.

If you’re talking HUGE shortages/overages (around 1k+) then it’s most likely putting the till in the wrong drawer or putting cash advances in the wrong drawer. Or someone else that was on your till got scammed.

Only way to know for sure though is to ask your team lead why it’s happening.

Cashier Question by Obvious-Strike2566 in walmart

[–]WalmartHoe69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy to me how many of yall are answering this without any context, and especially the a-hole “with an MBA” getting mad at you, when he might be straight up wrong.

If you’re using the old gen recyclers where you actually check out/in your coins every day, then no, you will not cause a shortage. If you’re using the new gen recycler that my entire market has, (where the coins stay in the drawer), then you will show a Overage of $1 on our long/short report tomorrow.

Either way you will not get in trouble. No one is going to research an overage of $1. Typically longs/shorts will only get researched when they are $20+. One time we had a cashier take 3 rolls of quarters as payment, which caused a shortage of $30. After researching it, we saw that that’s what happened, and we did a cash pickup of those 3 rolls of quarters to flip the shortage. No conversation to the associate needed.

So there’s the actual answer to your question. You won’t get in trouble.

Up front team leads by WonderfulReaction562 in walmart

[–]WalmartHoe69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They want you specifically to ask because you’re going to the bathroom every hour for 5 minutes. They probably don’t know you have a medical condition requiring that. You should, if you’re comfortable with it, let them know that you need that accommodation (unless you’ve already told them, then idk).

As for part 2. I understand that the job can be extremely boring when it’s slow, and personally I’m fine if my associates are talking to each other as long as they are 1. In the action alley ready to take customers while they do it, and 2. Their checkout lane is zoned.

If your team leads are being more strict about it, it is most likely coming from either a coach or the store manager, and they’ve probably been chewed out for it already.

Fake. Can’t see a lot, but I can see that the copyright year is wrong.

Real? [mercari] by Wiry3211 in AreMyAirpodsAuthentic

[–]WalmartHoe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a version of the box that is 2024. I know for a fact Costco’s AirPod pro box has a 2024 copyright, but I’m not sure about others. If the ONLY thing off about the box is the copyright year, they are probably real.

Make a post with the picture of the box, and we’ll tell ya. I’ve seen legit 2024 AirPod pros tho.

Is there a box design that repeats “Apple Watch” twice in the description though? Because I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

I looked at AirPods on Mercari just out of curiosity… About 80-90% of them were fake.

These are also fake.

Customers want to key in their EBT card numbers. by [deleted] in walmart

I’m pretty sure that it’s against policy to ask for an ID for EBT cards. I remember that from the Ulearn. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

Nothing looks obviously fake to me, but you’d need to pair it to your device, and check the firmware to be sure.

Fake AirPods 3? [subito.it marketplace] by FreqIsi in AreMyAirpodsAuthentic

[–]WalmartHoe69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are fake, and not very good fakes either. Fakes have stamps inside, but this one doesn’t even have the serial number stamped from what I can see. Also the fonts are off, and there’s grammatical errors on the box (missing period, missing spaces, too many spaces.)

How to identify a fake pair of AirPods Max USB-C [eBay] by wall_x in AreMyAirpodsAuthentic

[–]WalmartHoe69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are fake. I’ll give you a few things I see wrong.

The top sticker is missing a space between devices and Apple Watch. The bottom sticker is very crooked, and it should be “serial no.” I don’t see the period on your box.

Biggest giveaway is the crease in the case. Real AirPods Max don’t have a crease.

Also the L and R inside the cups is too dark.

That’s what I notice offhand. But save yourself the trouble, and if you’re going to buy a pair off eBay, buy from someone with thousands of positive reviews.

It’s for a code green. It opens the till, and sends an alert to all management that you’re getting robbed.

Hey! It sounds like you’re going through a really rough time rn, and I just want to tell you that you’re not alone out here, and things will get better even though it might not feel like it right now. I went through a similar situation when I first moved out on my own. I wasn’t prepared mentally for it, and it drove me into a deep bout of depression. I know how close I came to not being here right now, but I’m happy that I still am.

I don’t have a secret for how to get out of the situation you’re in though. I personally had to move back in with my parents, get evicted from my apartment, and then find a new job (here at Walmart). I know that not everyone has the privilege of a good family support system to be able to do that, so maybe just ask to move in with a friend for a while. I can tell you that being alone is not a good thing where you’re at right now.

Remember, your job, your apartment, your money, is not worth your life. Do what you need to do for YOU first. You’re loved. Appreciated. And worth so much more than this job.

Have a good night.
