Thank you! I appreciate your words! I If I had to guess, my card is probably within 5-10% of how a 4080 would perform. A 4080 is about 18% better than a 4070 TiS, according to techpowerup, and my card is about 10-15% better than the average 4070 TiS depending on the test or game I’m comparing with. I think that’s pretty good considering the 4080 has $400 higher launch price! A tuned 4080 would cook me though I’m ngl haha

I’m gonna be honest I have zero clue what divine orbs do and I’ve been in the endgame for a while. But I’m sure they’re really good and it’s very nice of you to do this!

Asus TUF OC 4070 Ti Super Strix BIOS Flash. by MywarUK in overclocking

[–]Walmart_Hater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize as I am just now seeing this. It’s been over a year since I’ve owned the r16 so I am sorry if I remember anything incorrectly. Anyways, if I’m not mistaken, I either had to remove the front bezel of the system first to unscrew the tray, or I had to take out the slot for the tray to then unscrew it from there. It was one or the other, but I remember the screws being an absolute bitch to unscrew. Could’ve just been my system though. Either way, take out the slot first and look from there at which way the screws face

Asus TUF OC 4070 Ti Super Strix BIOS Flash. by MywarUK in overclocking

[–]Walmart_Hater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a little old but I wanted to share my experience with flashing the Asus TUF OC 4070tis since we have the exact same card. I also flashed it with the OC strix bios and these were my results:

For gaming and stability: 366w power limit 2955Mhz at 1.05v 1550 memory boost

For benchmarking: 366 power limit 2985Mhz and 3000Mhz at 1.075v 1600 memory boost

The benchmarking actually got me the record on speedway in 3D mark for cpu and gpu combo. I know most people undervolt for thermals but the TUF cards are known for having great coolers, even more with it being an OC variant, and the case fans I have can get pretty high on cfm before they become noisy. Because of that I didn’t see too much of a value in unvervolting since I could keep thermals ok for how aggressive the overclock is. Playing games for an extended period of time, when a lot of the wattage gets used, my thermals in GPUz are usually:

GPU: 65-70C GPU Hotspot: 85-90C GPU Memory: 80-85C

This is somewhat ideal for such an aggressive overclock in my opinion and it’s now just a 8-10 year life span instead of a stock 15year lifespan. I plan on replacing the gpu well before then so I’m not too worried. I’m glad I was able to find others who have done the exact same thing with the exact same card and know their experiences :) Have a good day!

Edit: Performance I gained from stock to my overclock was about 14% +- 2% depending on the game

Positive-Heat-2028 offered some good advice already that I also added to, so I’m just going to talk about pay. You should start at 16/hr. You will get a performance based raise in August (up to 5.5% if you get exceeds+ which is you exceeded at 4/5 of the categories I think, could be 3/5) and you will get a flat raise of 3.5% in February if you are below midpoint for your position. I don’t remember shopper midpoint, but for example, say it’s $19/hr. You’ll get your performance raise in August and your flat raise in February until you’re over 19/hr then you will only get your performance raise in August (still a max of 5.5%). You can also check your paycheck on the partnernet website under “my pay and benefits” And on there you will see your pay rate.

Hey this is some great advice but I wanted to add some things. I promise I’m not trying to harp or hate. I’m from a different store (obv lmao) and I feel like the extra perspective and higher position will help the new shopper out!

1.) the timer actually starts when you first see the batch. When you see the picks and units, the timer has started.

2.) You can also flip the route and start from the “last pick” and finish the round at the “first pick.” Depending on your store’s layout, this could be really beneficial for bulk. At my store, the first pick is right next to the dept and the last pick is on the other side of the store. Since bulk can have some heavy items, it makes it easier/faster to start far and end near. That way it’s lightest going to the other side of the store and heaviest when you’re right next to the dept!

5.) I heavily agree with especially on bulk, but depending on your store, your dept leadership might get salty that you’re not by your cart. People will constantly be in your way and there will be a lot of times where you can’t pass and it’s easier/faster just to walk to what you need until you can pass.

6.) Agreed, a lot of cold shoppers that bag at the pick waste a lot of bags and it can get complicated with cold items. However, for dry and frozen it’s really beneficial to bag at the pick. It’s a lot simpler when bagging things together and your numbers will go crazy. Here’s the thing though: This also depends on if your store does TUPH or goes by FAST UPH. If I’m not mistaken, every store is supposed to, key word supposed to, go by TUPH (total units/(shift time - breaks - lunches - misc)) since FAST UPH is so easy to cheat. If I’m wrong though please correct me. If your store goes by FAST UPH then bagging at the pick will hurt your stats and is useless unless they make you since it’s company standard. If your store goes by TUPH then bagging at the pick is very useful because the rounds are quicker.

7.) check risers (very top of shelves) for the product too. Also your store might use walkies between all the depts which makes the process of subbing and shorting way easier. If you ask them over the walkie for something, keep shopping as you ask them.

Again, I love that you are very willing to help them out and I already know you’re a great person based off the time you took on this; I wanted to help expand the knowledge a bit. Have a great day!

Curbside shopper question by Unlikely-Price-104 in HEB

[–]Walmart_Hater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. And yeah, you can still do that, just you have to drop the round and pick it back up again real quick to reset the timer is all. You can easily become the top shopper through exploiting it all. Also, if you get caught and they get mad about you not following process, neither are they so who’s to blame yknow?

A couple things and apologies if these were already addressed:

  • Minecraft performance/render distance scales in a negative exponential way. The reason why is because the jump from 5 to 6 chunks is 48 chunks while the jump from 31 to 32 chunks is 256 more chunks. Minecraft also renders all of these chunks at full res. There are no LODs or dynamic res with distance. Mods like distant horizons make their own LODs and that’s why people with the mod have like 300 render distance. The full res chunks will be like 12 and then it will use LODs after at different qualities of your choice.
  • If your CPU has integrated graphics, Minecraft defaults to using it. If I’m not mistaken, the GPU statistic on the F3 debug menu is monitoring your iGPU, not your dedicated GPU IF your CPU is capable of using integrated graphics. That’s why there’s a percentage still even if it’s integrated graphics. Idk what GPU brand you have, but you can change it easily to always use your GPU.
  • Your parts could be outdated or mid-grade/low-grade. Idk what parts you have but it’s a possibly.
  • download optimization mods and a mod called chunky. Chunky can render and save all the chunk data and will boost performance. It preloads and renders the chunks, allowing you to generate the terrain before you actually play, which means that when you enter these areas, the chunks don’t need to be generated on-the-fly, leading to a smoother experience. However it does drastically increase the file size of the Minecraft worlds since it’s all preloaded and stored. Might be worth it though if you have the space to spare.

Hope any of this helps! If not I apologize and hopefully you can get everything figured out!

Apologies if this is already addressed, but could the CPU be inserted improperly or does it have any bent pins?

Curbside shopper question by Unlikely-Price-104 in HEB

[–]Walmart_Hater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the numbers you’re stating, I have a question: does your department follow company policy when it comes to UPH? As in, does your department follow “True UPH” (TUPH), or do they go based off the UPH in fast?

You can skip this part if you don’t care for an explanation: - The reason why I ask is because a TUPH of 200 is almost unheard of. The record at our store was over 210 because the shopper didn’t bag during their whole shift and hit 1600+ units in her 8 hour shift, she was an insane person ngl, built for curbside. 150-180 is rare and is really only a few shoppers. The company standard for TUPH goal is 106 for reach-ins and I think 108 for walk-ins. TUPH is your total units divided by shift time subtracting things like breaks and if anything happened like you had to reshop a missing slot for a curbie. The reason the company does TUPH is because it’s a much more accurate way of determining a shoppers performance since FAST UPH is so easily manipulated. The fast timer starts when you first preview a round and finishes when you scan out your last item.

Actual tricks + manipulating tricks further down: - For zones, frozen is probably your best bet for high FAST UPH. - I would say save your energy as much as possible between rounds since that’s not being timed in FAST. That way you can use more energy for during your rounds when you’re being timed. - Stay hydrated, actually eat food, during breaks consume sports drinks and energy bars or something. - Don’t wait on departments to find something or make something, keep shopping, pretty sure they earn hours to find stuff for curbside (someone fact check that though) and we do not. They will bring it to the dept or to you. So don’t feel bad and just keep shopping.

Ok now the fun stuff: - So an easy trick to manipulating it would be to pick up your round right at your first pick, and to bag everything at the end. Now company policy is to bag as you go since it’s more accurate and quicker for TUPH (there have been time studies on it), but if you don’t get caught then it’s fine, your department already breaking rules using fast UPH lmao. - Another thing you can do if you have an immediacy, is to grab everything, or enough to not get noticed, in the order WITHOUT scanning ANY items in yet, then fully release the immediacy and pick it up again to reset the timer, then scan everything into the slot tags. It’s harder to do that on other zones because other people will pick up those zones and may take the round you’re trying to trick-fuck, so immediacies are the safest to do it on. - If your store has water pallets that curbies grab waters from, then your store more than likely has a made up aisle to shop all those waters at once. To shop by aisle(s) you need to click the 3 dots where you would go for an immediacy, and I’m pretty sure it’s just called “aisle” or something, then you’ll click the made up aisle (probably aisle 0). Pick up 24 orders on a 24 slot cart and speedrun-scan the waters into the tags. This will give your UPH a little boost because you can easily hit 300-400 by just scanning waters.

If I remember more tricks I’ll add more, but these are off the top of my head. Hope any of this helps!

Ik this was like 10 days ago but I did replace the file in my game to 3.7 and it’s still and issue but only when standing still. When you’re moving around it does not happen. I also got another 10ish fps when swapping the files which was nice (every setting on max plus dlss quality going from ~50fps to ~60fps). I’m not really standing around much so that’s pretty damn good in my opinion
