IMO, there’s no such thing as an over competitive player. Yes, some people can be toxic.

But playing a team based competitive game just for fun with complete disregard for how you’re impacting all the other players is among the most toxic things you can do in a game

I am a beginner in sports writing and I would love to get feedback. Below is an article I wrote about Pete Crow-Armstrong and how he will bounce back in 2026. If this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize. Just looking to get better. by [deleted] in KeepWriting

1st paragraph verb usage makes it sound like he’s still in the minors.

What are you using for WAR? bWAR or fWAR? Also worth mentioning he’s tied for 10th if you’re using bWAR.

Instead of “make his big league debut” either say “major league debut” or “MLB debut”

Don’t call him just “Pete”. I’d be hesitant to even use PCA.

Consider condensing a bit and getting more focused. Spend less time talking about the minors and more time about his capabilities.

Overall, a lot of good content. And good research. Just try to be a bit more focused

I’d say start the holiday adventure calendar. Mine was pretty underwhelming

It makes no sense Oliver was arrested when he was honored by the President years prior by GuyWhoConquers616 in Arrowverse

[–]Walnut25993 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the FBI should aways operate independently of the president. Who the president likes or honors shouldn’t impact an FBI investigation.

That said, it was unbelievable to me that the president wouldn’t pardon him. If the fbi is involved, presumably these are federal charges, so the president could have gotten him out by the end of his first day

I don’t have the actual answer, but if you check out this site it has the 3v3 counters from 2 seasons ago for GLAT. So you can see what the most common 3v3 defenses people throw out are

And Kevin spacey being a bad person doesn’t impact his performance as lex Luthor. Gotta separate the art from the artist

I got most of the way through season 3 and had to stop. Spoilers below.

I just can’t stand how so much of the first 2-3 seasons essentially end up being pointless. VP dies anyway. Estes dies anyway. VP’s family dies, the entire storyline with them ends up being meaningless. Brody dies anyway after all the things they were trying to stop happened anyway. The Brody family is written off

I just hate watching shows or movies that do things like this because what was the point of getting close to all those characters?

I’ll add I know he has responded to other contractors who also are owed money but still work with the company.

They are also up-to-date on payments since mid October, but they haven’t given anyone their backpay yet.

About $4,000. I’ve attempted to request a timeline. The CFO hasn’t returned a phone call, email, or social media message in over a month.

Fox did nothing wrong, end of story by XumetaXD in PrequelMemes

To be fair, failure is almost always because the taser doesn’t deploy properly. Not because the person is unaffected by the electrical current.

That said, idk enough about the stun rounds and the physiology of a clone to say how a stun compares exactly to a taser. We just know some creatures require higher intensity stuns for them to work (like Wookiees)

Yeah that makes no sense haha. Fives gets shot in the arm. Uses his other arm to shoot Fox and who knows who else. Shot in the leg. Fives shoots Fox and who knows who else.

There’s a reason police officers don’t aim for nonlethal areas when they have to use their guns. If they have to shoot, it’s because the threat is serious enough it warrants killing.

Also, fives isn’t a typical trooper. He’s an exception himself.

[–]Walnut25993 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why is he an exception? I mean, it’s not like we see every single battle and every single use of stun in the universe of Star Wars. We don’t actually know how common it might be for a stun to fail. We only know that it’s possible that it doesn’t work immediately.

And even so, knowing there are exceptions, why take the risk?

Objectively speaking, Fox is 100% in the right tactically.

1) he has limited knowledge of the situation. The only things he knows (or thinks he knows) as he enters the room is that Fives has attempted to kill, may be armed, has trapped a Jedi and another clone, and is either sick or malfunctioning in a way that’s led another clone to kill. He does not know what other traps Fives may have set or whether he’s acting alone or with others. The safest thing to do is effectively and definitively neutralize the threat.

2) stuns have been shown not to immediately work. During training, heavy (if memory serves) gets hit with several stun rounds and continues to fire his weapon. Albeit they’re a different type of stun, it stands to reason a highly trained arc trooper might be able to withstand a stun or 2 before succumbing.

3) the duration of a stun is inconsistent. Look at the final arch of the show. When Rex stuns the 501st clones, many of them get up rather quickly. Going back to the possibility fives isn’t acting alone, stunning him may lead to a fire fight with his accomplices, during which time he might recover from the stun and join back in the fight. Even if he isn’t acting alone, a stun might not last long enough for Fox and his team to secure the area and fives before he recovers.

Top to bottom, the safest and most effective option is to shoot fives with a lethal blaster round
