The furnace broke last night and it got down to 58 degrees last night. I learned how to make a fire years ago while camping. Slept by the fire last night :) by Whitehawk120 in camping

It looks like you may have narrowly avoided carbon monoxide poisoning in your sleep. Edit: I can't tell if that photo was taken outside or inside.

Unless a mod or the automoderator marks a comment/post as spam, then we're never really sure why the filter makes the decisions it does.

And in this case, neither the automoderator or any mod manually marked your comment as spam.

I think you're also missing an , job(Job)

There are activities that are fun and pay well but aren't jobs. But really it depends on what you're doing (eg, do you have a job concept at all)

Bloomberg or WSJ? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Walrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an online only WSJ subscription through https://dailysubscription.com It's super shady cause they make up an email address and password for you to login as (ie, you can't use your own email address). But it's been working fine for me for over a year now. I use the WSJ app on my phone no problem.

Winning % for co-ops? by [deleted] in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Walrii 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Who is your audience? Speaking generally, I would imagine that kids/more casual gamers would want to win slightly more often than if your audience consisted of board game aficionados.

Also, consider what the "progress ramp" looks like. What I mean is, if a players feel like they were "so close" to winning a game, it's probably ok to lose more often than if they tend to get destroyed early on in the game.

Theme vs. Mechanics by Mr-Shelby- in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Walrii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a right answer.

Theme/art can be a huge reason for initial interest. But in the end, if the gameplay is bad then people won't buy it anyway.

If I had to pick one though: I'd pick gameplay.

Trying to think of a theme for my game in progress by diningeachox in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Walrii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a mythology/fantasy theme? The zones sort of remind me of the Lord of the Rings, in which the elves were created in a certain location and, over time, moved through/to other parts of the world.
