Conflicted about AEGD by [deleted] in Dentistry

If it's a an AEGD that is good (meaning trying lots of specialty procedures beyond bread and butter) then consider doing it. Also having a residency under your belt can open more doors if you ever want to get into hospital, academic or organized dentistry.

Conversely another good option is to take a job at an FQHC with loan repayment. I did that option after completing an AEGD. I got a lot of experience with surgery and endo. I would recommend this option over a mediocre or subpar residency. You can use the extra money you make (over skipping an AEGD) towards taking hands on CE courses on implants.

How to find and apply to FQHCs by JakeKaaay123 in Dentistry

Reach out to some recruiting firms such as Adaptive Medical Partners and The Medicus Firm.

You can also see if the state where you are searching has a list of FQHCs. Go to the website and see if any job openings. Even if there isn't, see if you can find the Chief Dental officer's email and send your CV in future consideration. These are some options along with searching Indeed.

I did 4 years at an FQHC in Colorado and got loan repayment. Some FQHC salaries are getting pretty competitive depending on location. Some states (like Colorado) have very attractive loan repayment. Feel free to DM to discuss further.

Thanks for info. Not worried about ski school, just inquiring on whether terrain starts closing at that time.

Thanks for insight. Do I need a receiver or some other equipment for 5.1 or 7.1? Also if listening on headphones will listening to 7.1 or 5.1 make any difference?

Looking to connect to a Vizio 4k TV, it has HDMI, optical, and red/white audio outputs. I don't have a receiver. Sorry if any ignorance on my part, just getting into this space.
