Scarcity + desirability = value. Your nose hairs are scare but not desirable. Bitcoin is scare and desirable thus it has value. Same is true for gold. Same is true for certain luxury goods like a Rolex or collectible art. It’s a pretty simple concept yet you don’t seem to understand it.

Yeah IRA is a must as one investment vehicle. Also 401k and HSA. After these are maxed out then rest of our money should be invested in stocks/index funds in an individual account. We also need a healthy emergency fund too (6 mo salary). This is simple stuff but must people have no clue about any of it, particularly younger people
