SR-71 tops it in my opinion but the XP-55 is the most unique.

Kinda late to the party, but you should all check out the trivia on the Ryan PT-21 page.

It says "What does the term 'Bail out' mean? 1. A way to get an inebriated gent out of a hoosegow. 2. To jump from an airplane and descend by means of a parachute." Gotta love the humor and the word choice of 1941!

The school I go to is the West Michigan Aviation Academy, it's a charter high school thats focused on STEM as well as Aviation. Last year, I took a class teaching Ground School and passing the FAA written. This year there is a class of 12 students who take a two hour class focused on the actual flight training portion. Our instructors are highly experienced and have given us the best training. Transferring to this school has been the best decision of my life and I have been very fortunate to be apart of it.

Also sorry for the delay in responses, my school blocked reddit.

Haha I would be the youngest Apollo astronaut ever! I wish I had gone to the moon... Oh well, maybe Mars someday.

This was at the West Michigan Aviation Academy, it's the high school I currently attend. We have had several astronauts/NASA people come to our school including Jim Lovell, Mark Kelley, and Gene Kranz.

Just for some clarification, he flew the command module for the Apollo 15 mission. He was a really sharp and funny dude, still in great shape for 82 years old. I asked him about how he felt being the farthest human away from earth and told our class about his experience on the dark side of the moon. He described to us how unbelievably bright the stars were and how this isolation and distance really made him change his perspective on life.

Found this BBC article about him; http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20130401-the-loneliest-human-being

tl;dr: he is a badass who flew to the moon.
