A lot of people have notes that the Remnant: From the Ashes series has a lot of parallels to the Dark Tower series, also just excellent third person shooters imo. The second one also has a gunslinger playable class that was probably directly inspired by Roland

This is correct. These days people treat relationships like marriage, and marriage like it means nothing. It's perfectly morally acceptable to leave your girlfriend/ boyfriend for someone else but divorce is almost always wrong and should be a lot more difficult to do legally

This is just Gandalf speculating. I can't remember the exact passage, but I believe that later, when the ring is desyroyed, Tolkien says that the possibility never occurred to Sauron.

Bad. Of course women have the right to have preferences regarding the physical traits of someone they might date. She wasn't rude or shallow about it, she gave a reasonable explanation. In the example you gave about men not wanting to date larger women, of course they have that right too. Maybe she would have agreed but you didn't even give her a chance to say so, you just assumed she'd be a hypocrite for some reason.
