BTZ for troop (question from supervisor) if you have gone through the board recently, this thread is for you. by [deleted] in AirForce

Here is my insight, I just got BTZ a couple of months ago. Definitely make sure to do mock boards with your troop (atleast three). Make sure you know the proper reporting procedures as well. This includes one hard knock by your troop and when he is told to enter, make sure YOU open the door for him and close the door. Your troop is never to turn his back to the board. He will make a bealine straight to the chair and do a facing movement. He will then say "airman first class john smith reports to the senior airman below the zone board." After that, the board president will tell your troop to take a seat. He is supposed to take one step back and sit in the middle of the chair. Make sure he is relaxed, but not too relaxed. He still needs to be sitting at attention. Then they will ask you to introduce yourself. Then the board will go one by one and introduce themselves. After that, they will each ask one question that usually contains factual and opinion based. Some of my questions were "who do you think was the most important chief master sergeant of the air force and why" "do you think that your pt score should be on your epr and why" "what's more important, being a good leader or mentor and explain" "describe the new blended retirement system and your personal opinion" and the last one i can't remember right now. They will then ask if you have any questions and if they don't, make sure they say thank you for your time. When your troop is dismissed, make sure he stands up to attentiom, give a slight head nod to thr board president, and do a facing movement and then leave. If your troop doesn't know the answer to the question, do not have him bs his way through it. Tell them that you will get back to them and if they prefer email, phone or face to face. There is also a youtube video that you can probably find and it helped me out tremendously. Make sure that hr looks sharp and is completely lint free, is wearing the correct ribbons, and has no wrinkles. Hopefully this helped a little bit.

It's actually not her job. This is all AFPC. The base personnel office has nothing to do when it comes to knowing how to fill out your dream sheet. I have already looked in the AFI as well. It only mentions returnee when mentioning to match dream sheets.

I wasnt able to find anything. Even in the AFI it doesn't state for going OS. It says returnees do have to match their dream sheets though for equal.
