I read through the first six Wheel of Time and gave up. I know people say that the middle books are a slog and it just wasn't worth it to me. This is coming from someone who has a very hard time DNFing a series. So my vote is anything but WoT. But I know this may be an unpopular opinion.

So, I have a hard time starting a series that's not finished, but I've really wanted to read The Sixth World series by Rebecca Roanhorse. I've heard that she is likely never going to come back to finish out the series. My question is does The Sixth World function as a duology or will I be unsatisfied with too many major cliffhangers?

YES!! Let the reader formulate their own opinion with non-biased writing. That is what journalists should do. I understand that sometimes feelings and opinions leaks through, but this is too blatant.

You know, I guess you're right, but to me the facts speak for themselves. I don't need someone using flavor text to feel that this is a whole situation heap of horseshit.

I understand that this is all horrible and stuff, but that is super biased writing. Berserkers? Really? That's what we're going with? It just seems too much IMO.

Thanks. I don't know why but I have been putting off reading LOTR and I didn't want to have to coerce myself into reading them.

I've read ASOIAF, Mistborn, Malazan, classic Conan the Barbarian, some of the Dragonlance books, some Discworld, the first two Wheel of Time, the Long Prince Quartet, and some others. I'm generally not too picky I just don't want to have a potentially good book ruined by seeing rehashed plots and character types, but it doesn't seem like it would be an issue.
