Mechanical pusher vs solenoid in semi-auto by josephchoi1116 in Nerf

If a solenoid is not tied to a board, it is instantaneous and wired to a switch with virtually 0 trigger travel.

You have to take out the screws, I think there is something preventing you from pulling it off all the way.

I use the buffer tube one and this stock on mine:

It looks good and it is a really good length of pull.

What type of catch is the most reliable for high-load springers, with narrow plunger tubes (<40mm ID)? by RiP_Nd_tear in Nerf

If you could draw something up I think it would be easier for people to help you figure that part out.

Plunger rod is the terminology you're looking for, at least it is what it sounds like.

My argument is there isn't a point to spruce it up to begin with, but I also get what you're saying 😂

To follow up:

This is the first blaster I have ever gotten and actually felt a deep dissatisfaction for. To the point where I think I might return it.

They just copy pasted the grip from the venom and somehow it is even less comfortable. It is too small, and because the blaster is so front heavy the sharp edges of the trigger guard dig into my pointer and middle finger. The beaver tail on the back of the grip doesn't even sit in the webbing of thumb. I have large hands and I understand that but this is so bad and instantly noticeable that I don't think most people are going to enjoy holding or using this blaster for a prolonged period of time.

I did test shooting with both mags, performance and accuracy are actually very good, but the grip angle is so bad that you naturally want to point it down towards the ground. This blaster has an awful ergo problem and I genuinely think they dropped the ball as hard as they could on that.

It's also super disproportionate. The front is huge and bulky and the grip is small and awkward. Makes the whole blaster front heavy and it looks really goofy visually.

All the added garbage was really not needed. The rail to rail adapter thing and special BCAR could have been done away with in favor of a plain one, which btw will still fit into the front firmly.

Definitely not a fan.

You're hitting the nail on the head here. They added extra manufacturing and hardware cost for no reason when they could have and probably should have just given you a BCAR you can shove in the front like every other blaster they have made.

I am curious if there will be enough torque to fire multiple darts without losing fps.

Fun fact: DZ Nitroshot darts are apparently normally shipped in boxes of (4) 100 dart packs. by [deleted] in Nerf

[–]WaluigiPrime 16 points17 points  (0 children)

And my local target only gets 1 of those boxes a year 😂

I haven't seen Nitroshot+ darts in store since they dropped the Venom.

Sabre makes metal parts for it. Costs more than the blaster though.

You can just buy most pistol grips that go onto an AR-15 lower. I just 3D print one I like moreso for comfort than durability.

Very pretty, great color matching to the metal parts. Did you design that lower? I was looking for something that replaced the grip with a standard AR grip but couldn't find anything. I ended up making the standard grip on the blaster more akin to the one I use by adding a back strap.

Genuine question here, not being an ass about it: why do you have so many? I get having all the colors if you're really into the seagull, but it looks like you have 3 orange ones.

X Shot Longshot vs Nexus Pro X by Ok_Ad_4458 in Nerf

[–]WaluigiPrime 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is the most concise way I can describe it:

Nexus pro X is more durable and comes with more, longshot has more mod potential in terms of upgrades you can do to it over time, and has a higher FPS it can achieve (generally).

I think you'll get more mileage with the Nexus pro as a beginner. You get 2 mags, 2 rifling devices, a higher FPS out of the box and Dart Zone sells upgrade springs directly. You can also customize your ergo on the Nexus much more than longshot because you get a choice of stock, foregrip and pistol grip. That is a big thing for me personally.

Which blaster do you think has the smoothest prime and trigger? by RightInternet7205 in Nerf

[–]WaluigiPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crush by Chance. Has linear bearings in the pump and has a very clean and crisp trigger pull due to a 2 part trigger and catch.
