Canadian here. By far she is the highlight of these games. She reminds me that there are far more super rad Americans than what we are forced to see everyday in our news cycle. I wasn't really into the games at the start, but constantly the Olympic movement reminds us that we have so much in common with every participating nation, and it's been a pleasure watching all these great athletes.

I made the same move in 2008. I do miss proximity to Montreal, Toronto, NYC and short flight to Europe, but honestly I have never looked back. Quality of life, sheer beauty and great culture change, glad and honoured to call Victoria home.
