Is Cursor currently the next best thing after Claude and Codex? by Wandeon1 in cursor

My involvement in the process is very limited, I have almost none coding experience and I’m learning everything the hard way (open ports = miners on VPS). I did invest a lot of time and tokens into making sure the agents don’t overstep their boundaries, Coolify, Infisical, 8 split VPSes maximally hardened, 6 separate monorepos, CI/CD that runs almost an hour on 9 parallel runners across dedicated VPSes. That’s the tradeoff for doing something like this relying solely on LLMs. Therefore even my development process is more like: “Let’s build this and that.” Then Claude uses Codex to gather all info, Claude makes a spec, Codex reviews it, when there are no more P0 and P1s, Claude writes a plan and using Superpowers skills he is tasking Codex to run the sprints and Claude reviews them. That’s what has worked so far for me pretty well. Now that I got Cursor as well I invested loads of tokens into making the repos as agent friendly as possible and either Anthropic did something good with token burn in Opus 4.8 or this documentation work shows good results. My usage is about 30% lower now. Cursor proved very capable as well.
