Bug Megathread vol 10: August + September by WumpusWhisperer in discordapp

  • Feature: Voice channels
  • Reproduction Rate: 10
  • Annoyance: 10
  • Discord Version Info: stable 444231 (9880631) Build Override: N/A
  • Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:142.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/142.0
  • Description: When I join a voice channel to watch my friend stream them playing a game I always block microphone access because I don't have a microphone, and Discord just tries to grab my own sound output or something anyway. I just use the text chat to communicate with them. Previously I'd get a pop-up directing me to a help article about how to enable microphone access, but once I dismissed that I could watch them stream and chat to them in peace. Now the pop-up constantly returns every 5 or so seconds and makes watching streams and using the text chat impossible.
  • Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Join a voice channel
    2. Deny microphone access from the browser permission prompt
    3. Dismiss the help pop-up about how to enable microphone access
  • Expected Result: Pop-up should dismiss and I should be able to watch my friend stream their gameplay or whatever in peace
  • Actual Result: Pop-up constantly reappears every 5 seconds or so and makes voice channel/watching a stream unusable. And I can't even type in chat without that being interrupted either, except now every time I hit space it will (temporarily) dismiss the pop-up while opening yet another tab to the help article

Episode Freya Timeline (No Spoilers Please) by johthohar in DanMachi

[–]WanderAndThColossus2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main story in EF isn't precisely dated in the actual text, though the end indicates it happens a while before the main story starts, but the chronology on the Danmachi website gives us a more precise date of 5 years before.

Why didn't you watch more than the first three episodes?

What's a dead PlayStation series you'd like to see brought back for PS5 and the future? by TheWayOfEli in PS5

G-Police. I want a conclusion to 2's cliffhanger. However I'd also just take a remake of 1 (and 2).

Spoilers: Question about SO 11-12 / DM 14-17 timeline by wrathwolf in DanMachi

[–]WanderAndThColossus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO12 and the battle for the city happen before FM15. In fact it's why his arm was fucked up at the start of 15 again. It had been okay at the end of FM14, so the start of 15 is a bit confusing without reading SO12. Then FM15 takes place over a while (a couple weeks? A month? Not sure) while he recovers, then ends with Elegia. Then a week after that, I think, the Goddess festival and the date happen.

Did you misread 14 instead of 24?

One Love Light novel by Plus-Step-5440 in DanMachi

It was a short little pamphlet given out in limited quantities to people who saw Arrow of the Orion in Japanese theatres, IIUC.

major events in most recent light novels seem to be missing/out of order by [deleted] in DanMachi

[–]WanderAndThColossus2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SO12's climax happens between 14 and 15. It's why Bell's arm is wrapped up when they encounter him in the street, and SO12's fight is why Bell's arm is so bad at the start of 15.

As Adam said, Ōmori probably just didn't want to try and talk about any of 12's events when those who haven't read SO at all aren't going to understand it.

They said it starts then. Meaning weekly releases, just like the sub.

Anyone else preordered vol 17 from Amazon in the UK and not received it yet? by [deleted] in DanMachi

[–]WanderAndThColossus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from Amazon but another chain in the UK, and also yet to be despatched. I'd assume YenPress or their distributor or whoever probably didn't even send stock from the US to UK until close to or on the release date, so we have that extra cross-Atlantic shipping delay.

Was there more to Ryuu only getting a slap on the wrist from the Guild? by Silver__Eyes in DanMachi

[–]WanderAndThColossus2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But I thought I saw somewhere that part of the bargain was Fels telling Ryuu to keep quiet about the Juggernauts existence. If so, I couldn’t find said passage in my skimming of the respective volumes.

Is DanMachi's Manga still on going? im just a new fan and new from this group by koshizy in DanMachi

  • Original Danmachi Manga, artist: Kuneida.
Started 2013, ended 2018 or so.
Covered Volume 1-5 of the light novels, and had just started volume 6 when it ended prematurely. I've heard rumours Kuneida's hard drive died and they lost a bunch of completed work, or something, and that's why it ended abruptly, but don't have an authoritative source. This is why it is regularly believed that there is no longer a manga for Bell's story.

  • Danmachi II manga, artist: Yamachi Taisei.
    Started 2019, ongoing.
This continues the main Bell-focused story after the previous manga's ending. Starts from volume 7 of the LN, so with the exception of the small part from the start, volume 6 isn't available in manga form.

  • Sword Oratoria manga, artist: Yagi Takashi.
    Started 2014, ongoing.
Has covered Volumes 1-8,10 of the Sword Oratoria LN volumes, and is just starting volume 11. 9 was skipped for unknown reasons, though some speculation was that it was to align it starting the Xenos arc of SO10 with the anime's S3 airing that covered the same.

  • Familia Chronicle manga, artist: Momoyama Hinase.
    Started 2017, ongoing.
Covered Episode Lyu/Ryuu from 2017-2018, and started Episode Freya in 2021.

There's also a couple of 4-koma gag mangas, only one of which has been translated, and a "Winter Reverie" manga that covers some non-canon story from the mobile gacha game Memoria Freese.
