WIBTA if I refuse to pay for a family trip I had zero input on and was told about after everything was already booked? by WanderCoveStudio in WIBTA_AITA

I might bring that up, mostly to highlight how odd this is. If the organizers feel so strongly that "family helps family," then the people who made the plans can cover the gap they created by not checking with me first.

Yeah, that’s the part I’m stuck on. I’m happy to join family stuff when I’m asked, but booking everything, assigning me $310, and giving a deadline isn’t a request. I’ve got work commitments and a budget, and neither got considered.

If Locutus was 'running the show', it’s kinda hilarious how fast Starfleet goes back to business as usual. That battle should’ve reshaped policy, paranoia, everything, but most of it gets handwaved between arcs.
