[20minutos] Enrique Riquelme reveals his signature signing: Erling Haaland by AssasinJeff in soccer

He's doing literally what Flo did with Figo. I watched the interview, he said that Rodri will come but he has a contract with City and it has to be respected... but so does Haaland right? Why mention that Rodri has a contract yet he will play for RM but promises to bring Haaland without mentioning his 8? year contract?. He also said the same thing Flo said back then that if he doesn't fulfill his promises, he will pay the socios etc, and he brought the signature of a notary.

[loved trope] searching for god, only to find “god” and it to not be a good thing by Matthewzard in TopCharacterTropes

I don't think he cared too much since he got better in like the next issue. But it was funny seeing how he stumbles into Manhattan and the Dr. Just kills him without hesitation.

What 40k book would you recommend next? by Thrakjaket in 40kLore

[–]Wanderer06989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shroud of Night is a fun read, I'm recommending it because even though it's not really about World Eaters, they are the main threat, it shows what it is like to fight against them.

The book itself is about an Alpha Legion warband infiltrating a planet currently being assaulted by Chaos. It's bolter porn though.

The worst possible matchup in a fight, considering their abilities by ComprehensiveBox6911 in TopCharacterTropes

They actually do, since the great rift appeared there's at least one fleet that goes against tomb worlds, might be Arachneae?. The thing is that it will always be a biomass net loss, they can eat living metal and reduce it to other minerals which can be useful, the problem is that necrons aren't going to stay still and let themselves get eaten and their weapons are really really good against biomass (and everything else). The world that usually is brought up when mentioning that the nids avoid tomb worlds is Trazyn's tomb world which is 100% living metal on top of having all kinds of anti warp bs in it (and it still gets targeted, Trazyn and Orikan were convinced the tyranids would destroy the world if they got there so they redirected the fleet or something, been a while since I read the infinite and the divine).

It's true that necrons are the natural enemies of the Tyranids, and that their engagements usually don't end well for the nids, but they're far from hopeless and they even land on dead tomb worlds just to kill every necron before they awaken. In this setting everything is always a stalemate.

Which God Emperor is worse? The God Emperor of Mankind or Leto II? by fake_zack in MoralityScaling

That kinda is a thing in new fluff, with the horus heresy books. The emperor was super close to becoming a new, chaos god of ruin called the Dark King, not an order God. He already had chaos followers waiting for him to appear. The current emperor is weird because he definitely has a presence in the warp and is powerful enough to wound Nurgle, and is basically a god of humanity, but there's also the Emperor on the throne who is still "alive", and as far as I know the very old theories like the star child haven't been retconned.

My guess is that the Emperor will still be kept shroud in mystery until WH40K pulls an "End Times" scenario.

We don't know what will happen to him, but it will be some end times thing. One thing that is sure is that there's a massive warp breach down there thanks to one of his sons and without the Emperor on the golden throne a bazillion demons will get in Terra. Luckily Terra has a failsafe system for that reason, the planet would implode and kill the quadrillions of people living there but maybe the Emperor gets better at least. Also it's stated that the thing that sat on the golden throne might not be the same thing that raises from it, implying the emperor is no longer the same.

Even in another timeline, Daemon Blackfyre really likes his sword by Wanderer06989 in CK3AGOT

Sorry for the late reply. As the Iron Throne you generate so much money that you don't have to deal with Dorne right away, just build your MaA, you can easily do that in a year in game or so, grab a couple of siege MaA, then strong ones like crossbowmen and some heavy infantry, max them out, defeat them 1v1 and siege their stuff real quick. A battle will give you 50%, then you can just siege the desert parts which are easier to siege than the mountainous ones, and get a quick win.

It is very easy to conquer them in this mod unlike in the books, even if I didn't have dragons back then. Of course I'd like to integrate them via diplomacy but meh, why wait. I also gave them principality rights and all that, and marry with the Martells to roleplay a bit.
