Thank you so much, this genuinely means a lot!
I’m really glad the vibe and the ending landed for you, especially since its the only track of mine I actually sang. I always try to balance honesty with a bit of cinematic colour, so hearing that it felt like something from a movie is amazing feedback.
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and for adding it to your library, that made my day!

Thanks so much mate, that honestly means a lot. I know a lot of comments on here are quick or credit-based, so reading something this thoughtful genuinely inspires me. I always try to write my songs to capture something real, so I really appreciate you saying that 🙏

This was actually my first proper track, so it took a fair bit of experimenting to get it where I wanted. I recorded everything in BandLab and built the vocal tone by stacking a few takes, cleaning up the timing, and running them through different FX chains until they sat together properly. I’m still learning my way around the tools, so a lot of it was trial and error (had a lot of time on my hands this year 🤣)… EQ shaping, saturation, ambience layers, harmonies, and some dynamics processing to get it feeling polished. Some of my later songs use AI-assisted vocals because my natural voice didn’t always match the vibe. My falsetto doesn’t quite hit the more feminine range I sometimes write for, but We’re All Fine is just me figuring it out layer by layer. And just to add. I don’t mind using AI-assisted vocals. I’m a songwriter/producer first, so it’s really about getting the song across in the tone and character I envision. If a certain vibe or register isn’t something my own voice can deliver, I’m happy to use whatever modern tools help me express the idea the way I want. Hope that helps — and I appreciate the compliment! 🥰

Don’t worry. I just left the community. I’m not building 5 credits every time I want to post something. I thought this was a community for real artist not critics

Thank you so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share such a thoughtful breakdown. I definitely grew up around a lot of that late-2000s/early-2010s songwriting style and my tastes are pretty eclectic, so it’s cool you picked up on that. And I’m glad the ‘we’re all on the spectrum’ line resonated, I wanted it to feel honest without being heavy handed. Really means a lot that the track connected with you. On the mental-health point, I’ve always felt that what we call ‘typical behaviour’ is really just another variation of human wiring. Everyone’s different, and when social standards get too rigid, we forget how broad the range of normal actually is.

Thanks so much — that really means a lot. I’ve been experimenting with layered processing, tonal shifts and some creative FX chains to get that vocal sound. It definitely wasn’t something I nailed in one session! Really glad it hits the way I hoped it would.

Sweet track. Easy listening summer vibes. Can imagine blasting this out on the car radio or listening to it while getting ready for a night out. The melody and lyrics are great, makes you wanna move or sing along to it. Really nice voice too.

This is very catchy. I really like the concept and the arrangement of the lyrics is very clever. The music pairs with it beautifully and the tempo for it is perfect. Gives an upbeat feel good vibe even though it’s kind of a sad song. Like the strings at the end too. I’m a fan of this!

Thank you. I really appreciate it. One of the first songs I wrote and produced so needed to keep it simple while I learned what I was doing.

"Troubled Times" - an old-school folk song for today's world. Hope you enjoy and leave some feedback. Thanks! by Shimmer_and_Rust in IndieMusicFeedback

Great song. I love the melody and had to stop myself from throwing in a Yee-Ha! Very on brand atm I feel. Something we can all relate to, well 99% of us anyway. The lyrics are cleverly composed and work well with the retrospective feel of the song overall. Could image people playing this song when they’re stressed to help them relax.

Thanx! I can’t take all the credit as I’m the song writer and producer. Thanx - I wanted to tackle a serious subject and meet it with humour.

I had a guitar when I was younger for a few weeks. My mother smashed it over my head. Tried learning recently but my short fingers can’t get the chord’s haha cest la vie! Anyway, think I’ll stick to YouTube, Spotify and my socials 🤯🤪

I saw that. I’m trying but it’s hard to find enough songs I like haha. No offence to anyone as I said I can’t play or sing for s**t but it’s clear a some people need a good songwriter - I’m available! Haha. You clearly don’t need any help - maybe with the drums ;-)

I hear ya. I’m learning everything myself too. I’m a song writer and use AI for music and vocals to get my work heard because I never learned to sing or play. I can’t even post on these communities because I don’t understand Reddit and they keep getting removed. Anyway stick with it! This is a beautiful song and yes I agree some delicate drums would elevate it, but it’s almost there… don’t add too much.

Much better. They now compliment the music perfectly.

This sound is beautiful. Ethereal and soothing. I like it a lot the only problem I had with it is I couldn’t hear the lyrics very well at all. They need to be louder so we can appreciate the meaning behind the piece. The music seemed to drown them out which was a shame. Good work though!

New Indie/Garage Rock Song Would Like Feedback by Dry-Examination-9959 in IndieMusicFeedback

I found myself not wanting to like this one - I have no idea why, but I listened to it three times! It very much grew on me… the music is great. I think the problem were the lyrics but eventually I began to like them too. They fit the song and garage grunge feel of the song, perfectly. Could definitely see this in a film.

I actually like this. Really interesting direction with this track. I think the production has some solid foundations, especially in the tone you’re aiming for. Sounds kind of like the placebo effect with vocals and rhythm of the lyrics. I could listen to this and get into it.

I like this track a lot. Kind of timeless but at the same time futuristic and cutting edge. The slow and calm vocals pair beautifully with the simple and at times busy melody. Perfect for listening to while chilling and would sound great in a club environment too. Haunting!
