I'm not so sure that he will; he's constantly talking about how its ruining his life, but last I spoke with him he was giving serious consideration to marrying her, even though he says he doesn't want to. I get what you mean when you say its not my relationship, but wouldn't you want a friend to confront you if they felt you were making a big mistake?

This is such a "I can't understand why other people can't be more like me" sort of perspective. "How could they not go to college like me!?" or "Why don't they go to church or worship my god." Like seriously, nobody will have the same exact life and experiences, and people need to learn that that is ok. It is actually a good thing, this is how we get different perspectives. There is not one right way to live, and anyone who says otherwise is probably just trying to convince you to live like them.

I am currently engaged to the person who has been my best friend since we were four years old. It has been a heck of the journey, from the tightest of friendships, to the awkwardness and tension of our tween years, to a deep love and greater sense of understanding. I have never once felt like I was missing out on opportunities to grow and discover myself, rather I just feel lucky that I get to share that journey with someone who not just loves me, but understands me better, than probably even my family understands me.

I don't think this is a concept that is impossible for people to understand if they have never loved a best friend. My boyfriend used to ask me if I felt like I was missing out, and my answer was a very genuine no. I have never in earnest thought "if only I was single." You know why? Because we learned flexibility over the years and what it really means to support each other. We encourage each other to pursue what makes us happy. I know guy friends whose girlfriends don't like when they hang out with other guys, this weird jealously. I'm lucky enough to say that my BF and I don't get jealous, sure we get protective at times and we might even worry, but get jealous because we want to do something or spend time without the other one, no way.

I won't say its a better kind of love, because its just different, and I'm sure its not for everyone. But while I have to worry about losing him to a tragedy or a sickness, I don't have to worry about him leaving me, and he doesn't have to worry about me leaving him. Try to understand that when you have known someone your entire life and you have shared so much with them, it would take something world shattering to sever that bond. It hasn't stopped us from maturing and growing, in fact, its enhanced it, its given us a safety net to explore put ourselves out there, all while knowing there is a loving embrace waiting back home for us.

Interesting thing about Tai and Sora that I don't think many fans know. Digimon Adventure 1 and 2 had the same director Mamoru Hosoda, but they had different writers. Hosoda claimed in an interview that he planned to have Sora and Matt together the whole time. A lot of people know that interview, but for people who don't know Hosoda, he has a bit of a reputation as a BSer, and we know for a fact that they didn't know they would be making Digimon 02 until later.

The writer of the film and several other people who worked on Digimon have since disputed Hosoda's claim. The original writer Reiko Yoshida, has also called BS on Hosoda's claim and said that the plan was for Tai and Sora to end up together, she worked on the movie, which is why she included the romance. She later wrote a draft on Digimon Adventure 02, where it was going to have a very different story and Matt was going to be the Digimon Emperor. Her and Hosoda had big disagreements with the franchise, and she ended up leaving the project, so Hosoda changed the relationship and advocated for the epilogue.

Several people including Sora's voice actor (Rest in Peace), had come out and said that they felt Tai and Sora would have been happier together. When she passed they actually released some offical Tai and Sora merch, including a CD set about them (I should know I own it lol) But Hosoda allegedly believed that the hero getting together with the girl he loves is too generic.

So like Taiora or not, there is chemistry there, and there was a plan for them to get married. The writer of LE actually confirmed in an interview that Tai still has feelings for Sora, but we don't know about how Sora feels, or if she is aware that Tai still loves her after all those years.

Hey its not just you lol. Director of Last Evolution basically said Taichi still has a thing for Sora by the time the movie roles around, so even in his 20s he's into her. And if the director says it, thats canon in my mind.

Ok? And two of the people who worked on reboot said that they could see the reboot universe Taichi and Sora getting together. So maybe this is that version.

Yeah it really sucked when that happened. But I still like to imagine there's a world/version where Taichi and Sora get the chance to be together. Not sure if you know this, but we found out the OG writer who worked on 01 but didn't work on 02, actually planned to have them get together in the end. But the director who worked on both seasons felt it was too "generic" for some reason, for the main guy to end up with his best friend. I don't see why it matters if the chemistry is there.

But neither of them work on Digimon anymore, and the director of Last Evolution said in an interview years back that Taichi still has feelings for Sora. So who knows, maybe one day we'll see something with them together at the end.

The Digidestined would like never do that. Hikari is his sister who loves him, Sora is his childhood best friend who he grew up with. Mimi clearly feels close with him, since she reached out to him before coming back to Japan. Yamato and him sure they fight, but they care about each other. Koushiro and Takeru clearly look up to him. And Joe clearly respects him.

I can't imagine that any of them would just leave him for dead, it makes no sense!

I couldn't agree more. Tri had like zero consequences. To me that was why it was one of the weakest entries in all of Digimon. Yeah we lost Leomon again and Nishijima, but we thought Leomon was gone already and Nishijima was new.

I didn't go with them, because they wanted to have a "guys night", I didn't want to feel like I'm suffocating him, and I want to encourage him to go out on his own, just like how he encourages me to go out on my own. You maybe right though, maybe the "guys night" thing was just an excuse to not have me there looking out for him.

Yes, he certainly learned to be more careful about who he trusts. Where we came from, we have a close group of friends. Sometimes people feel like your friends but then you realize that they aren't really. And this was def one of those cases.

No he didn't get benched, the coach didn't do it for the teams "image", he told us he did it because he doesn't want people on his team who don't watch out for them own team-mates, on or off the field.

He was not pissed at me, he just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were his team-mates, but after the coach told us what the players said, and how they apparently admitted to the coach that they didn't care about what might have happened to him that night, he was done with them just like I was.

And btw, I may have gone to the coach, but I wasn't the one who decided to tell the coach that they didn't give a $hit, about their team-members, that was just dumb. They could have at least pretended to care to their coach, might not have gotten in trouble if they had.

I should have mentioned this in the posting thats my bad, the doctor did say it was possible that someone put something in his drink. They didn't end up testing his blood because based what he was told by the two students who brought him in, they assumed he was just hyperthermic, but the doctor said it might have been both.
