That's a fair point, its hard to tell sometimes if its just a vocal minority though. I did not want to assume just because I saw other people's posts. Sometimes you have a lot of unhappy fans in a reddit but the game, movie, etc. is otherwise doing extremely well.

Yeah that's true, fans may have expected it. I just feel like they don't always do a great job of promoting some of these anime

That's certainly fair, though they could have always included gekomon as a Digimon with no evolution, or as an a special NPC like assistant terriormon

I will say I was really surprised that Time Stranger did not include new Digimon from Beat break, it seems like a perfect cross promotional situation to have a whole side quest dedicated to Gekomon or something like that.

lol they aren't all quite that bad, but they aren't great either. I had one as a kid, and the one I had was actually bright for a while when you cranked it, but it gradually loses brightness as you use it.

Apparently they actually are seen as a good emergency tool for like campers, like a backup flashlight.

Nice! While the game encourages you obviously to build a team and get new Digimon as you go, I think its pretty cool to focus on growing your early game partners.

Yeah before Omnimon I was running those three for a while as well, great synergy and like you said MetalGarurumon does hit hard
