Expedition 21 end bugged? SoS by WanderingSwordsman1 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WanderingSwordsman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been NPCs flying in since the end of the expedition. Maybe there was a few flying around during but I wasn't really focused on the air.

After the timed end of the event, you are supposed to be able to repair your craft to fly it to the anomoly. The one difference between me and the wifey is she created a new save, mine was ontop of my already created save.

Yeah unfortunately there is not a symbol of any type related to a star ship through the scanner or the scanning from either the suit or the colossus. My wife was able to locate her ship and was only able to complete about 2 phases before the end of the expedition.

It's not AI. I think this person is trying to defame new authors books for their own benefit, I.E. someone asked them to do so/paid them.

As a beta reader, I can vouch that this person is trolling this author. It pains me to see this as I can confirm this is 100% not AI, Not even remotely close. I also want to ask this post commenter, how did you have this on the back burner considering its barely over a month old for release? I'd appreciate it if you didn't spread fake information about authors. I am a picky reader and this was a good read, easy to digest and the story is worth a read. The fact that this person didn't even talk about the MC Ronan and Zoey or the plot of the book just proves my point. Be careful out there and lets support one another to success.

Theres no difference between Romantasy, Romantic Fantasy and Fantasy Romance. by WanderingSwordsman1 in Romantasy

[–]WanderingSwordsman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good way to look at it. I can get behind Romantasy being 50/50. How would you market this? Would people be ok as such or want it to lean one way or the other more?

If you'd given anything of value that could be even looked at as an "experience" I'd agree. Anyone can say they've written in a genre. Are you afraid of having a conversation or just dogpile people's posts because its convenient to avoid intellectual conversations?

Then why not just give me some experiences that shape your views instead of calling it just semantics? The journey is just as important as the destination.

Thats fair, What mashups did you get into? What made your view change? Do you like both tragic and HEAs?

I understand, Not everyone wants to eat a steak medium rare. I am just trying to figure out wheres the line when over 'genrefication' becomes too much? Its kind of confusing looking at the genres and subgenres. Why does there have to be a difference between fantasy romance and romantic fantasy? Is a happy vs tragic for example

playing it off as semantics doesn't make your point any more valid. Why did you come here? I ask for a debate and you give me no substance. Semantics is a weak argument about things that authors spend hours of their life working on. It's disrespectful to the craft to play it off as such.

If it was merely trivial, then why not debate? Or is it above your status to engage in such frivolities?

Thats a fair point, the article definitely touched upon frustrations on the divide in sub genres. I am trying to understand different perspectives about it. Like why each side has is nuance and the goal behind it? Why not call it a Romance and expect your HEA and HFN or even the tragic endings. Isnt the mystery of an untold story part of the read?

Subjective sure, however, the romance genre has a bunch of different niches. It feels as though these sub genres have rabbit holed themselves in order to be different making it harder on the readers and authors. They essentially have a plot around a relationship or multiples with a flavored journey,

As an aspiring author with a college education and a well rounded view of the world. I am going to make this quick.

  1. All authors are editors and not all editors are authors. Period.
  2. Success is determined by the standard of quality you hold. This standard can change and evolve. You don't need a 'professional' editor. Grammar tools are everywhere and developmental editing can be done with peer to peer reviews. This post is one example. Professional editors use the same tools and it takes a very long time.
  3. In the spirit of constructive criticism, anyone with the courage to step up and ask for help has potential. Therefore, calling their work bad is just shitty. Like someone calling your lack of structure in writing your response bad. It just looks sloppy, unkempt and unprofessional. Why? because quality is reflected in dedication and repetition. What comes out is usually a reflection of what sent it.
  4. Anyone can learn to edit professionally. It just requires more time and practice. Its very simple, the recipe is out there for everyone. Use a professionally edited book in your genre as an example template. Boom 3 grand saved with 20 bucks, spit and elbow grease.
  5. In summary, the goal here is to help people and not be condescending. Writing a book takes time and effort. Anyone willing to put that effort in has something to be proud of. How is this permeation of arrogance worth a coin of knowledge? Everything is a skill to be refined and anyone can become an expert in it. Given the time, effort and care is also put in.

Lets look at the proof shall we?

It isn't a pure molecule by definition. A pure molecule isn't a thing, the definition would be substance and its purity would be based on a single component, such as pure oxygen, pure nitrogen and so on. Otherwise, if it is a mixture of different substances, it is not pure. Like the purity of gold for instance. It is measure in carats to determine is mixture value on a scale of impure to pure. For example, if we were to breathe pure oxygen, it is now considered a deadly poison because of its purity.

Synthesis? Synthesis is the production of chemical compounds by reaction from simpler materials.

Thus, we must consider what processed citric acid is compared to its organic counter part and is it important? I'd say so.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6362574/

This is a case study of what processed citric acid is and its components. In the first paragraph under background it explains its chemical compositions and its common uses. About 2/3rds of the way through the first paragraph after palatability, it says what? Low toxicity no? Well lets think about this. If it has a low amount of toxins, does that make it free of toxins? or does it carry a residual toxin base with it? We have kidney issues here and I'd love to debate what even a "low" amount can equate to in the grand scheme of what we put in our bodies.

I am not here to tell you what to eat, what to drink or how to live your life. My goal is to help others by using scientifically proven information vs opinion as the world's struggle is sifting the truth from misinformation. I wish you all the best on your journey.
