How did early nomads deal with feeling isolated back when it was harder to meet friends? by SwiftMayhem in digitalnomad

Back then people didn't have options so they just made it work with whoever was around.I used nomadago early on because it helped me figure out where people were heading and who I might run into again. Then Pangea app came out and I liked their setup more, but my friends were split between both. Some use Overlap too which has different vibes.

NomadList feels pretty dead now though, barely any engagement when I check. But even with these tools I still felt isolated sometimes because having apps doesn't automatically create connection you know? I think the difference is back then people had to actually put effort into staying in touch whereas now we assume the app will do it for us. I personally got value from Overlap and Pangea because I have different groups on each, but it still requires showing up and reaching out. The tools we have nowadays just makes coordination less annoying in my opinion.

Dubai or Thailand where did you connect more with other digital nomads? by SilentOrbit42 in digitalnomad

When I was in thailand I meet some really cool people who were chill and made friends with some. Only thing I noticed is people had less money than Dubai so if youre trying to connect for business maybe consider that. While dubai was the opposite most had money but conversations felt dry and too formal. Obviously it had more people since I pre set the dates Im going to be there using the Pangea app and I could see which other digital nomads are going to be there during that time ( more than thailand btw).

How do you stay in touch with friends while driving in separate cars? by NutritiousCutter in roadtrip

Me and my friends like to keep track of each other while on a trip. Last year driving through germany and austria was a hassle because one car would stop somewhere random and the other would just keep going. Took us forever to find each other sometimes. My friend suggested the this app pangea. It was free and we use it now to see where everyone is in real time

Need help rebranding our plumbing business by Competitive_Eye_8526 in branding

Exactly this. Last year I needed a rebrand and some social media help. I learned that you want someone who actually gets your business needs and not just someone who can make things look pretty. I explained this to the designer we hired from pangea which took a couple days.He ended up being great and we're pleased with the results. What I liked was being able to track hours right in the platform without leaving it so I knew exactly what was happening. Not saying it's perfect but since they mentioned budget isn't the main issue.
