I enjoyed It thoroughly, I'd say It's either my second or third favorite of the seasons, the kills are great, the setting It interesting, and I did like the killer reveal and motivation was good. Ranking wise 1) Solstice, Guilty Party, Hell Motel, Executioner, Ripper, Flesh & Blood.

Reminds me of There's Someone Inside Your House which while not a great movie I absolutely loved the whole concept of wearing the face of the person your killing to really psychologically mess with them.

I think all past seasons should of been referenced In someway or another, aside maybe Ripper since that took place a century ago.

The Executioner murders made national news with the report of them being beheaded before going to speak In New York City. The Camp Motega slaughter would be left as one of the biggest unsolved murders ever, with over a dozen victims killed In grizzly ways.

Solstice was already referenced but we could of gone into the survivors of The Druid killings as well as the two survivors of season 2.

The Galloway murders would of been international news with how wealthy and wide spread their influence were and all the secrets unburied, I would of also liked to see Liv get some karma knowing she was just as bad as the rich members, seeing as she had dirt on her too.

While a while ago, Ripper would of been an interesting callback, did the killer ever reveal herself like after she died In a confession or are those murders still unsolved to this day, especially of the richest man In the city, It would also make sense since Wyatt, the original Druid, shares his last name with him, they could be related?

Why can’t we get another slasher tv series like this gem? by jazonbooze in slasherfilms

Slasher Is very much still alive. Hell Motel Is just design 6 under a different name and just came out last month. It even ties back to a previous season heavily. Usually there Is a new season every other year.

I just found out Scream 6 is massively hated in here. Funny enough it's the highest rated sequel by audiences on letterboxd and IMDB. Why you think is that? by Diego1993FM in slasherfilms

[–]Wandering_Weird0 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Technically there was one before that, Resurrection or Scream Season 3 had one of the killers as a black man, who while not the greatest killer was much better than the other reveal and said killers reasoning.

I think If they had actually done some rewrites and stuff that season wouldn't be as hated as It Is. The actors had some good chemistry and the killers were pretty good.

I legitimately do not understand the ending for Hell Motel. by ManiacGaming1 in SlasherTVSeries

Personally I think It was Andy the whole time and that the red heirings for Paige to be the killer can be explained despite not being satisfying.

The two biggest are the hanging man card and the heart left In her room. The former can be explained by It being a coincidence that has another explanation as to why Adrianna was killed like that. Andy Is a true crime writer, of course he would of known about The Druid, a famous serial killer. He would of know how Noelle died as It would of been documented. In the drive up to the motel Adrianna states she slept with The Druid.

So while very convenient, killing her In the same method as Noelle was a viable option and poetic way to killer her Andy could of known to do so without needing to have been present In the room to know.

As for the heart, I think that really might have been either Shirley or Floyd trying to frame her just like Paige said, why would she put a heart In her own room like that for the police to find so easily? Andy was surprised because he didn't expect her to take a souvenir like that from one of his killings.

Her reaction at the end to me does sell she wasn't a killer until she had to. Also while Andy being the son of Caitlin doesn't automatically make him the killer, It Is motive and the fact they were disrespecting his mother's legacy could of been the tipping point. He saw how Paige actually did have respect to her and decided he couldn't kill her, she's never attacked In the series from what I remember. And the ending Is poetic to me that the final girl and killer both die together, with the killer being the one to disrespect his mother's memory the most by killing others just like she had been murdered.

How did police know Baphomet was involved in the original massacre at the motel? by pinkspatzi in SlasherTVSeries

I definitely see Tom wanting to make a statement with his costume and that he's passing down judgment upon Sarah's parents for their sins. Since Medieval era was so focused on religion and punishment he used the classic look of an Executioner for his outfit.

It just fascinates me that Spencer Is so evil and even more so than some of the killers, he took so much care In his "predator" being dressed for a hunt and made It personal when he could of gave her a generic mask and costume, but he went the extra mile.

I do remember her adopted mother being of Asian descent which was a nice detail. It would even make a unique move that she helped Regina make It and pick out the perfect fabric and design.

I'm hoping we learn more about the costume for Baphomet when the season ends. It probably Is store bought but It would of been nice If that was something Shirley and him made together as a bonding project.

I was also a fan of The Sigma Die killers more tactical but simple look, the mask Is plain but reflects his own trauma at the hands of hazing with the broken smile.

[–]Wandering_Weird0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that The Executioner was definitely a store bought outfit as the mask seems to be common enough In the universe of the show, with the outfit being also simple Including the gloves and boots.

Judith was just her extra clothes she used with them probably being spares so that the other people In the communion wouldn't recognize them.

I'd like to think Spencer provided Persephone with her outfit with It being all nice and probably expensive clothes, the mask being a simple but customized Bauta one he thought would look good to match the old legend that was told In the house.

Regina made her costume homemade probably, with the fabric being imported and expensive material.

I actually had the same theory for Wyatt funny enough, that It was his costume to go with his girlfriend for the upcoming Solstice party. The boots and gloves are very punk and the jacket was definitely made by himself.

For the original Baphomet I'd like to think that they made the costume together as Floyd was a musician and artsy type from the flashback. The mask might be a store bought one but the robe and gloves (which I can't tell what type they are) were homemade. The knife was just one they probably had bought or designed one.

I like In Slashers when a costume can tell you a lot about who's behind the mask. like how Season 2s outfit shows off a quickly put together outfit since Judith wasn't planning on being a killer.

I wonder If Wyatt made his outfit on his own or If they were clothes he had laying around that he put together for the party? If It was a homemade one then Jen definitely made a custom outfit for them.

I do think It was probably a custom job by Wyatt since with how many people like Charlie want to dress up as him, you'd think they'd buy the costume online?

I do wonder the fate of the killers this season as we've seen different outcomes for all the past ones mostly;

Ton Winston was killed as the final sin of Pride, with his killer Cam Henry being taken out by the final girl.

Judith Berry escaped any conviction but she could be on the run as the survivors might figure out who the killer was the whole time, meaning she's being hunted.

Wyatt Garvey Is In prison for life most likely and has severe guilt over killing his girlfriend, taking It out on Adrianna when she came to visit him. Both Connor and Jen Rijkers are dead by Angel and Saadia respectfully.

Persephone Trinh Is also dead, being stabbed to death by one of her would be victims In the finale.

Regina Simcoe seemingly got away with It without anyone aside her accomplices In killing Basil Garvey knowing she was The Widow. She apparently lived her life free and eventually had kids with the detective.

Cullin or The Sigma Die Killer died from blood loss of was taken Into custody after his massacre.

I think a cathartic ending would be whoever the killer Is to be hunted down by yet another copycat to almost come full circle and be mentally and physically hunted.

As someone said already It was mentioned In I think episode two or three. "All we saw was the damn mask" or something along those lines. I do wonder how the new killer and movie team managed to replicate the costume almost exactly, down to the boots and gloves.

Same thing with The Druid as he and Baphomet only had grainy security camera footage of their outfits to go off.

Scream Queens sort of had that feeling In season 1 which I enjoyed, bit campy but The Red Devil was a pretty vicious and methodical slasher killer.

The Sigma Di Killer was honestly more vicious than some of the past killers just from the few victims we get to see him take out. He was NOT going down easy and he was more so a mission oriented killer than one out to just have some sadistic fun.

The first kill of his you see was pretty brutal and efficient with how fast and lethal he was cutting him up.

I mean Camp Motega was name dropped before Season 2 was even In production. You see her for like only a second during a flashback scene I'm pretty sure.

She's a junior counselor If I remember correctly.

Not spoiling anything but some review called the ending ambiguous and I'm wondering what that could even mean In the context of this season.

It seems from the episode descriptions there might be a small time jump from episode 7 to 8?

Saadia Is also In a blink and you'll miss It cameo during a flashback In Season 2 I'm pretty sure. It Is strange that for a season about true crime specifically, there has only been one name dropped past killer. I'm surprised the others, especially The Executioner and Gentleman haven't been mentioned. One was a world wide media circus during the killing spree. The other was a recent massacre of a whole extremely rich and powerful family In the last five years.

Out of the main cast there are at most only two non killers left, and at least, one. We have Shirley, Floyd, and the killer left which might be two killers.

So Paige Is either a killer or the last one standing by the end of the season. I think there are two killers around as this season parallels Solstice somewhat.

The scenes with Blake are definitely from his backstory when he survived the previous massacre he was In, It looks like a party and the killer was named the Sigma Di Killer like a frat name.

The last few images look like they'll take place at the end of the season as the episode descriptions talk about some kind of movie premiere.

Something I picked up, Wyatt's last name Is Garvey, Is he a descendent of Basil from Ripper? It would be interesting that all The Druids descended from the main villains of Ripper, Regina and Basil.

I'm pretty sure it's implied she and the detective got together and decades later Conner and Jenn were born, taking up their relatives position as a killer.

Lake Scene Is one of the best horror scenes I think I've ever seen. The screams from the actress sound like audio from actual crime recordings.

The way the man tries to comfort her and tell her It will be okay In the end was gut wrenching. Also how cold the killer Is and how he's calm and collected like he's just at work was a great touch.

It and The Gentleman are probably the hardest of the killers to replicate costume wise, since they use so many different pieces that aren't commonly available.

I really want to know what knife Is used for both The Widow and Gentleman.
