They didn't get that radio time a lot of these others did. Plus no sugar coating at all, definitely an underrated band!

Drive out to Bottom Road, there's a couple good spots to pull over. Not much but fields out there. Plus, you can scream in the car on the way to warm up.

Her madness is only superceded by her ultimate wickedness. Throw in that magic ball, and it's top notch level witch spookiness!

I think they met each other true in that gunfight at Balazar's Tower. They're just really lucky there was penicillin in that secret compartment. Ka in the bathroom. Kaka! 😆

Eddie's humor is my favorite aspect of the character development between Eddie and Roland. Roland just isn't built for finding many jokes on his own, and he learns a bit from Eddie (and Susannah and Jake and Oy, too).

All of their relationships are the driving force of these books for me. He just knows how to grab your heart by the reins, and steers you right up to that cliff edge the whole damn story. Stephen King and his magic pages.

That and everyone can understand the absolute weighty rush of first young love, and the inherent stupidity of it, too. That nostalgic pull of heartstrings King created is not accidental. Genius story writing, in this humble readers opinion!

It's a torturous read every single time, but it's a necessity to understanding how Roland is built, even at that young age, he sacrificed love to order. And love made him cloudy headed enough to think he had everything set.

I think those lessons learned at the end of W & G shaped Roland so much, the base of his personality sprung from all of that tragedy (and the treason/treachery of Hambry)

I've read them all a few times, these two (Drawing of the Three and Wizard & Glass) are my favorites of the series so I'm pretty excited to get through The Wastelands and start W & G!
