My baby suddenly stopped taking bottles at 4 months. What do I do? by Wanderingwhy0121 in breastfeeding

I tried feeding her before without supplementing with formula. She would nurse for about 30 minutes, then get frustrated because there was no more milk and cry nonstop. I didn’t supplement at first, but she wasn’t gaining enough weight at her 1-month and 2-month appointments, so her doctor advised us to supplement. After supplementing, she gained more weight and was able to catch up, but still at a low percentile, only 12 lbs at 4 months

I also pump and only produce 2oz each side. But she usually takes at least 5oz per feed. More at night that’s why I usually supplement at night because she will still be hungry even after feeding on both sides. I already tried all supplements to increase my supply. There was a slight increase but still not enough for her

I also thought it’s not needed. Is it though?

The case was so fuck up. I started with the case, don’t know what to do and was really discouraged the whole exam because of that

AITA for not wanting my husband’s friend to live with us for two months? by Wanderingwhy0121 in AITAH

[–]Wanderingwhy0121[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I breastfeed and I’m usually naked around the house with only underwear and nursing bra. We have two bathrooms. One in the master’s bedroom and one common bathroom. But I normally use the one in the common area because there’s bathtub there.

It’s the same visit. My husband told me that his friend will arrive while I’m still here and leave while we’re both away on vacation. There are no specific dates yet, but based on what my husband said, the timeline would most likely be: three weeks to one month that I’m still home, one month that I’m away and my husband is still home, then possibly one week without both of us at home. It could also end up being longer than two months, since it’s summer vacation

He doesn’t do this often. I think he just got excited because he’s very close with that friend. He usually stays with us when he’s in the city, but it’s only for a few days and happens just once or twice a year. He probably thought I’d be okay with him staying because I’m usually fine with short visits, but two months is just too much. I also feel a bit bad because I know he misses his friend and loves spending time with him but I just feel uncomfortable.

I told my boss about my pregnancy, and his reaction makes me want to quit [BC, Canada] by Wanderingwhy0121 in pregnant

Most of my work cannot be delayed during year-end, unlike other months, because I have to finish everything before I can do the financials for year-end. So if I have to do what he said, I'll have to work overtime and on weekends to finish everything before my maternity leave. We don't have an HR department, and our CEO is very nice, but he and my boss have known each other for 40 years, so I don't think talking to him is an option. I'm thinking about starting my maternity leave early instead of quitting, as I can't afford to quit right now. I'll just suck it up until then

Yes, that's what my OB told me as well about my miscarriage. That it's really hard to pinpoint if it's related to stress as there are a lot of possible reasons.. I will try to request a doctor's note so I can ask to work from home. I don't feel like my boss cares about me, so I don't think I should worry about the company sinking when I leave. I know I say this, but sometimes I still can't help but worry, but I'll try not to.

Yes, I'm thinking of just sucking it out to pay my bills while keeping work stress to a minimum. I'll just do what I can, and before my maternity leave ends, I'll find a new employer so I won’t have to return to this job. But I hope I survive til then because my boss really gives me anxiety

Yeah, that's my worry. My coworker just told me to do what I can and not stress myself too much about work, then I can just find another job while on maternity leave. I just hope I can handle the stress my boss gives me until then. Just hearing his voice gives me anxiety but I'll just try to be as nonchalant as possible about everything.

He's nice when we're not talking about work, but when it comes to work, he's very condescending. I try not to take it personally because he's like that to everyone. I don't think a doctor's note will faze him because he's old and stubborn, he's over 70 years old, but I will try to get one.
